'24 GA ATH Kamron Mikell (Colorado commit)

I think Deion will get fired in another 2 or 3 years. He won't have the success that CU thought he would have and his antics will get old and they will move on. Deion will probably go back to a lower level school and have a modicum of success. He may get another P5 job in 10 or so years, but I doubt it. He just isn't really that good of a coach.
but he's got that Prime show.....on Prime. 😏

i think with all the realignment going on, and his ability to bring CU Football out of the ashes this season...and his ability to draw attention....someone will make it worth his while to leave CU...and he will b/c i think you're right if he's there long enough, he'll become the villain and get fired.

I have never one time seen Deion take accountability and admit anything is his fault esp as a coach.

Same guy put together one of the worst OLs my eyes have ever watched and he threw them under the bus. Yet he’s the guy that brought them all to campus months before. Like maybe your evals are just trash.

I think a CU MBA is pretty decent, certainly highly lauded in CO. My point is those dipshits should take a day off or roll the winders down, cause their business sense is nadaz

Deion may be a decent coach, but he is not a good human being.

What has he done that shows he’s not a good human?

Also, seems like hiring him was a smart business decision.

Colorado sold their soul for it and the bill will become due. That's a them problem.

I don't think he is really all that great of a coach. Nor human being for that matter.

Not sure why I'm getting roasted for this, I thought it was pretty consensus we were favorites for both and finished 2nd.

Consensus from who?

I’m not roasting you. Pointing out the people who said we lead maybe didn’t actually know. Unless it comes directly from the recruit, it’s speculation.

100%

A big(ish) time program that's in a desperate spot, but in good recruiting grounds, would be crazy not to give him a 3 year shot.

Jmo but he could be a recruiting terror at a place like Florida, Auburn, Miami, whoever fires their coach next.

Maybe I wasn't following well enough. Nevertheless, unfortunate Colorado got 2 decent recruits all cycle and we were in the thick of it for both. Chances of that happening seem low.

I'm guessing because he pushed out a ton of kids(?).

Statistically, he probably is a douche. But that's an estimation.

I've always assumed a large majority of D1 coaches don't make for good people. For whatever reason football, in particular, seems to breed a bunch of d*** bags for coaches that most people wouldn't like behind the scenes.

We were in the final group for both, but I don't think anyone knows who #2 would have been at the time. and of course things change.

With Mikell the WR it seemed like most people thought he was going to UGA because it was his dream home school and they had finally flipped to recruiting him only as a WR.
Seaton was all over the place. There might have been someone out there saying we lead, but there were just as many saying Ohio State, Oregon, and even Bama.
NO ONE thought Colorado was a serious candidate for either.

Did you read the article most of that $280 mil is not real money. Its just made up money.
Yeah, people don't want to accept that the University of Colorado hasn't received 280 million ACTUAL dollars. a good chunk of that 280 is projected marketing value, as in free advertising. not actual money in their pockets.

Some believe even bad publicity is a good thing…

They paid him $5.5mm this year and already got actual cash of over $30mm (as of September, though 20mm was based on season tix, so that part won't increase).

The town has also seen a huge boom off of this.

And while earned media isn't immediate cash, it is some projection of potential future cash.

Even student applications skyrocketed.

Clearly an s-tier move economically. That is without question.
