Pappoe said he now has been to Tennessee probably about 10 or 11 times, and he admitted the Vols are one of two teams standing out to him, along with Georgia, among the 37 schools pursuing him.
Every time I go up there, they just want me to feel like Im at home, said Pappoe, whos ranked by 247Sports as the nations No. 2 overall prospect and No. 1 outside linebacker in the 2019 class. Theyre going to be on me for the next two years I have in this process, so (they want me to) just try to get up there as much as I can and keep building a relationship.
The 6-foot-1, 205-pound Pappoe, who last month became the youngest player ever to participate in Nikes The Opening, said he was happy to join a number of other young prospects from Georgia in visiting Tennessee again.
This was actually my first time ever watching a full practice over there, so I was excited for that, he said. I just loved the competition that was out there. Everybody was competing with each other. The intensity level was high. Your spots never safe because theyve got talent in the ones, twos and threes.
