'19 GA ATH Owen Pappoe (Auburn signee)

I understand his skill level. I don't understand people thinking he's a vol lock. Idc that his twitter has pics of him in UT. He's from Georgia and they won't just let him go without a fight.

Agree. The kid is a couple of months shy of 16 and has three years of HS football left. I promise you Kirby and the staff are all over Pappoe; as is Bama and most other Power 5 schools. No one knows who will be coaching at any of these schools from one year to the next; so whatever relationships are being built now can go away in an instant. Very few of these kids are "locks" to anywhere this early in the process. He clearly likes Tenn now; but those of us who have followed recruiting know that can change...probably multiple times.

Tell Kirby Smart to bring it on. He won't do anything at UGA anyway.

This is a question for those who know about high school football. Does he play against really good competition? I know Georgia HS FB is full of talent. Just wondering as I dont know much about HS FB.

Greyson is one of the top three programs in the state. They play some of the better teams in metro A, including Archer and some top out of state talent (IMG Academy, Hoover). It's the same HS that Wayne Gallman and Nkemdiche attended.

Georgia moved to seven Classes from six this year, and Grayson will play in the 7A Class. Within the 7A Class they play in Region 8 which includes Archer, Newton, Shiloh, South Gwinnett and Rockdale County. None of those schools should give Grayson any problems this year. Archer was loaded last year, but lost some key players, including Jamyest Williams who transferred to Grayson. The more interesting games will likely be the non region games that Grayson Scheduled;IMG Academy...McEachern, GA...Deerfield Beach, Florida...Ramsay, AL...Hoover, AL.

The IMG game is scheduled for August 27th and is suppose to be televised on ESPN. I've seen two game times listed; 6:00pm and 7:00pm.

Might have to watch that game to see all the future vols in action

Because this 2019 kid is the real deal Holyfield

Holyfield #14 signed with Ga this year. I think Evander ran out of names and just started numbering them like Foreman did.

To add to this thread tho, Pappoe headed to Athens for a visit.
