Thats why i bring it up. He has said several times that the LB coach is his guy and why he chose Auburn.
First, I think it is a 51(AU) - 49(UT) race (difference based on commitment to Auburn), but definitely within margin of error. If and where he shows up for final visit will be most telling for signing day.
Pappoe’s and Mom’s very strong relationship with LB coach Travis versus his obvious substantial like of Tennessee will determine where he signs.
FWIW here is AU Rivals latest take -
“A late offer to a 2019 linebacker probably terrifies those in the Auburn fan base who already had worries about holding onto 5-star Owen Pappoe. Pappoe has been openly showing interest in Tennessee the last few weeks, which has led the national needle to move toward the Volunteers' chances of flipping Pappoe. My sources indicate, at this time, this is a bit of a knee-jerk reaction to Pappoe's trips to Knoxville. Pappoe and his family remain diligent in the recruiting process, but as I'm told, are staying loyal to Williams and Auburn. He will take a December official visit, as has always been the plan, but as long as Williams is in Auburn — and he has no reason to believe otherwise — the expectation should be that he'll sign with the Tigers. That's not to say the level of concern on the Plains hasn't risen. It certainly has. But it's nowhere near panic mode.”
