According to Rusty, it was Pappoe that the pavilion and tv was booked for originally, said he reached out in February and it grew from there. I guess be kind of hard to pull out after having others already involved?
Everyone was saying his recruitment wasnt going to be over, he basically named a public leader. Poor AU, sometimes its better to be the hunter rather than the hunted.
That, and look at their W/L record, rarely do they follow up a good season with another good season. Actually, AU is my pick for Pruitts signature win this year.
Whats all this about?

Dawg fans don't like the elder k Watson and say he steers players to other schools.
There is an article in the AJC today about Watson. Doesnt take much to see, quite a bit to read between the lines.
Cliff notes-kw organizes Tru19 team, AllStar guys to play against Tx. Watson uses this and keeps in contact will all of them, giving advice. He sees this as an opportunity for two things. One-to get a coaching position on a college staff telling them he can pull the guys and Two-get his son a scholarship. Kirby doesnt sniff giving him a job, FSU bites. FSU surges in these kids recruitment and a few commit including said son and Morris. It comes to light about the new rule about hiring coaches to get kids, FSU not willing to give KW on field position, everyone cools on FSU. KW is mad, also mad KS hasnt offered his son, goes on tangent rant on twitter and his podcast, go back and listen last Spring. UGA fans think he becomes anti-UGA.
Kevin Harris tries to commit, UGA asks him to camp first before taking the commitment (oh, the horror). He doesnt, KW uses this to badmouth even more and tries to turn all the kids against UGA. If you think he let that go, go read the article. It basically tells you that he had OP to commit to AU to get back for Kevin Harris when, well, read into that what you will. Because Watson follows that up saying Pappoe will go to UGA.
Theres a ton more, thats just the gist of the overall view from (outside) of Grayson. Too much drama for me. Just read on here, OP will be much drama. I will say, not so much OP, he seems like a good kid.
I let people decide what to decipher themselves, but just pull up Any podcast from Watson and listen for yourself. He was let go at Grayson but is hanging around. GHSA investigations has their own file with his name on it. That much is very true, decipher what you will on the other.
I will say it can be a Very good thing to help out young men when their home life isnt ideal. if the heart is in the right place. I think a lot of these kids dont know what to do and most coaches really do have their best interest at heart. Recruiting isnt for everyone.

The typical drama that has surrounded Watson going back a couple of years when Grayson HS got all those transfers. The guy has a bad reputation among Georgia HS football coaches, HS athletic directors, and lots of parents of HS football players who ended up on the bad end of all the Grayson HS transfers. Now UGA fans think he is steering kids away from UGA. The bottom line is that Watson has been in the ear of a lot of the 2019 recruits for several years and they trust him. He has them convinced that he's benefited them. The reality is likely the opposite but the kids don't have enough life experience to see it that way. It was inevitable that there was going to be a bunch of drama surrounding the 2019 kids from Georgia. Notice in the tweet Nolan says he talks to him everyday. Why? Why is a grown man who is not a parent, relative, or HS coach, talking to these kids every day?
His son did just commit to Texas, but K and his wife both love Texas.
I am sure that this is all KW's fault and has nothing to do with the fact that Kirby is getting beat for some kids that he wants.

he is, or are you saying that as in you're glad he's the DC?AU did a great job pushing playing time, specifically Williams, Pappoes fav coach. They pushed they are losing 3 LB this year.
If Im recruiting against AU, Id push that Steele has only had 2 LB drafted from him in his entire career. For instance UGA just had 3 LB this year sign with the NFL. Id also push that Gus has Never put a kid he recruited in HS, in the 1st rd. Easy pitch. Thats what kids want, right? NFL
Id be pushing Sherrer on Pappoe, Sherrer is a VERY good LB coach and some dudes on his resume that he has coached. Personally, I wanted Sherrer as DC.
