man this staff has got to really start improving its recruiting prowess.

Come on newt......im very pleased with this year's recruiting much better than previous two years.....de and lb have me little confused but I do think we close well even if it's guys that explode late in their senior year of high school.just still concerned a little with those two positions.....i really want to see this staff coach our guys up......better tackling and fundamentals period and more physicality. I'm actually thinking 10wins is possible and I know I'm in minority here....we coach up who we have and are very physical team watch out ...we can make a run

I'm cool bro its just these posts where people say "heard we are" or " the belief is" I mean where does that ish come from? The only thing to judge this recruiting on is who is committed and who is visiting. The rest is lip service. Don't get caught up in that crap.

I agree just my opinion we struggle to get elite pass rushers on a consistent basis compared to other sec teams where they get maybe two per cycle sometimes...on other hand our dt recruiting has been solid....

We just had one go in the first round, have Taylor and Phillips both highly rated coming up this year...We don't struggle recruiting, time will tell if we struggle developing but Hoke has never let anyone down in that department yet.

I'm very high on these two just not elite depth behind them....i believe they have great year and hope both stay healthy

I think he will make the biggest difference this year when it comes to coaching changes.

Catch 22 im torn on it being him or warren we desperately need much better secondary play....tough watching our corners getting burned so bad and safety not always in position like end of uga game

I think they both will help, it cant get any worse that's for sure. I get the feeling though that Hoke can work with what he has and Warren may need his kind of guys. We shall see.

Our problems with attracting quality DL have largely been due to the lack of instate talent. Fortunately we now see that beginning to change with Brant, Lawless, and Emerson all being in one recruiting cycle. Attracting quality DLs from other states was previously hampered by the fact we simply were down and out for almost a decade, which made it really hard to attract a quality DL on the notion we were going to turn it around at some point. And lastly, with Strip, and now Hoke, we have a DL coach who can recruit those kids with a quality resume. If we can win consistently and continue to put DLs into the league, we will regularly be getting our fair share of elite DLs. JMO. TIFWIW.

We signed Tuttle, McKenzie, and Phillips all in the same class. I wouldn't say we've had a hard time attracting dlinemen

I'm surprised Osbourne hasn't seen field I thought he would have contributed early. Thought he was cb in high school

oh but I guess people were expecting him to come in and start over the other instant starters we had on campus before. silly me.

Wasn't last year his freshman year?

Thought he was redshift freshman last year...but our cb plays was horrid so yes I would expect highly rated guy to contribute when secondary was not good....maybe most it was martinez....so I roll with that excuse...lol
