I went to C-N with Ikie, though he was a year ahead of me. Nice dude and a really good ball player on some of the better C-N teams in school history. A lot of talent back in that day due to Prop48 and academic eligibility differences. Ikie was a Prop48 player, which is how he ended up at C-N, and eventually enrolled there over Tennessee. He kept a year of eligibility by transferring down and sitting a year rather than enrolling at a Tennessee and losing a year of eligibility sitting out as a partial qualifier.Don't think it's been mentioned in this thread but Tray's father is Ikie Curry, a TE/DE prospect from Gaffney, SC who signed with UT in '96.
Tray has the bloodlines. Dante was a player.
Can we please stop comparing every high school WR prospect to Randy MossThere's not 50 players in high school more talented than him...
He was far and away the top prospect in the state 7 months ago. I'm guessing its grades the reason he has dropped so far.
I don't care.
He truly reminds me of a kid who came out of Rand, West Virginia in 1995. Signed with Notre Dame. Their high school tapes look very similar and Tray hasn't even played his senior year
That's the only thing that makes any sense.Talked to his position coach.. There's not any grade issues.. its as simple as there's a few guys higher on the board than Tray.. They are starting to be very decisive on who they take at this point.. Tray was aware but wanted to go ahead and commit... just has to wait on a spot to open before Tennessee accepts his his commitment.

He should have jumped on board a little earlier if that is the case. I doubt that Tennessee wouldn't have taken his commitment in March or April. A month or so later, and the dynamic has significantly changed and he may not end up with a spot. Sort of a piss or get off the pot scenario where he waited too long.Must really want to be a vol then.
So there are TN kids out there that want to be Vols!!!!Talked to his position coach.. There's not any grade issues.. its as simple as there's a few guys higher on the board than Tray..
