That sounds painful. Is it something he can play through or will he redshirt?
Because even with us having 2 blue chip CBs committed we’re in no position to turn away a 6’2 corner that Bama, Clemson, and Florida wanted. We only signed 2 last year and Williams has apparently been a big disappointment in camp and Harrison wasn’t exactly looked at as a blue chipper out of HS. We need all of the quality experience on defense that we get for when Nico is in his 2nd and 3rd year on campus not only to have talent on the field but also to help competition within the program. He looks every bit as good as Matthews and Gibson and far better than Conyer. This staff had him as their top corner prospect for a reasonWhy? We have 6 DBs committed. Two much higher recruits.. At least 2 others in the same ballpark. The other two committed early.

3..Not 2. Three Cornerbacks (Conyer, Gibson, Matthews)
Williams is a disappointment in what way?
He's in the mix for 2nd team CB and 1st team kick and punt returner.
What does it matter if Harrison wasn't viewed as blue chip out of high school???
He's on campus now!
You're not mentioning any of their skillsets.

Conyer is a nickel not an outside corner. As far as Williams goes have you read any of the reports from around the program regarding him? He wasn’t very good at all during the spring. Sure coaches have said he has improved some, but he got absolutely obliterated by Tim Banks in a scrimmage the other day for his play. Also if he’s just “in the mix for 2nd team CB” with this roster as a junior that should tell you all you need to know about his performance since arriving on campus. Most including myself expected him to compete for the starting job, and his contributions on special teams are irrelevant to the quality depth we have at corner. As far as Harrison goes I’m not sure why you assume just because this staff took him and he’s on campus that it automatically means he’s going to all of a sudden make a huge jump. Do you really think his dad who was an All Pro Safety hasn’t had just as good if not better guys developing him his entire football career? My point is we currently only have 2 corners on the roster that could even be here by Nico’s 2nd year on campus and that’s Christian Charles and Christian Harrison. Therefore if Strozier wanted to play here it would be stupid to turn him away unless we already had a transfer lined up. We’re currently in no position to turn away a talent like StrozierWe have 3 CBs committed.

Isn't he committed to Clemson? No we don’t have 2 much higher recruits at DB. Yes Matthew’s is higher rated but Strozier is ranked higher than Gibson. But that’s not the point. He is a 6’2 CB who plays good HS competition in Georgia. Also look at his offer list. Have you watched his film? Dude looks like a really good player.
And obviously our staff wanted him because we were recruiting him. Also we need all the help in the secondary we can get. You don’t turn away good players like this with offer lists like that.

Haven't signed well since Taylor, and Bryce.Yes, and that is because we signed a piss poor corner class last year. The previous points are still viable to that one whether you choose to accept them or not
