No . . . but it's an alternate point of view that you can't just dismiss out of hand. Just a different world view.

I absolutely can and have. You don't dismiss any "world view" at all?

Taken to the extreme, one could argue that all forms of birth control are abortion, some are pre-conception some are post-conception. The line is way to blurry for us to come to a consensus nationally.

Spilling the seed, just for a reference point you are talking about masturbation as discussed in the bible.

post-conception? 100% murder

Exactly my point.

no that's not what it was about

Several forms of "the pill" make the uterus unviable for an egg to implant. Fertilization takes place in the fallopian tubes so it is possible, even highly likely, that simple use of the most common birth control methods are actually preventing implantation of a fertilized egg. Many argue that is an abortion of a conceived child. I don't necessarily agree with that view point, but that would mean a woman who thought that way would want to choose other methods of birth control.

so there is absolutely no chance that it isn't murder? Absolutely ridiculous

at the point of conception, some believe that it's a living being and terminating it is murder.

I'm not saying I agree with it, I'm just saying, It is a legitimate argument. I think completely disregarding it would actually be ignorant.

I get it and my response was just poking the nest a bit. I wonder if many men even know what kind of BC their wife/SO is on anyway

I understand but if that's true then God "murders" more than human beings ever could. But that gets explained away with "God's will" and is swept under the rug.

God murders?

well if you believe the life of a fetus ended after conception and before birth is murder then it's a legit view right? It's likely that the majority of women will experience this in their lifetime

So it's ok for people to decide who lives and who dies?

People die of natural causes too. Does that mean god is murdering them?

you mean for people to actually control their own lives? Yes (I'll just assume that's what you meant and aren't creating an outrageous strawman)

Why is it ok for a woman to decide her baby should die? What point is it no longer ok for her to decide if she wants her baby, hell if the child is 4 years old and she decides she no longer wants the child why should she not be allowed to shoot it?
