Maybe I just don’t get it, what’s Solomon’s case for an immediate play transfer?
He’s moving closer to home but it’s still 6 hours away. No one is sick, his coach didn’t leave, they’re not on a postseason ban, and Harbaugh didn’t want him to leave. I just don’t see his case. Now we’re talking about the NCAA, and they’re idiots and unpredictable, but I just don’t see it
Only thing I can think up is maybe they say Michigan mismanaged his injury or something like that. But, I agree, on the surface. There doesn't seem to be much there.Maybe I just don’t get it, what’s Solomon’s case for an immediate play transfer?

my hopes are not up after reading this Denying a waiver to Illinois tight end Luke Ford is another illogical move from the NCAA after recent improvements to transfer rulesMaybe I just don’t get it, what’s Solomon’s case for an immediate play transfer?

Games are what, 7-8% of the time dedicated to fb?
90 some percent being practices S&C and classroom meetings with the coaches? But Gibbs or any transfer participates in everything but the games?.
Bringing up dressing out 12 times a year doesn't somehow make it make sense. That is a reasonable point to be sure, but I'd say knowing you're actually playing vs not changes things quite a bit. Don't even have to travel for road games, dress out for games, go through weekly ice baths, and just dealing with all the crap that goes along with the physical grind, etc.
They are following their research on how it affects kids and graduating or not. The proof is in the pudding, so to speak. Which is why they proposed a GPA benchmark for immediate eligibility. The main thing holding that back was external pressure from calls of racism. Sort of in a lose/lose there. Critics said something like only 6% of AAs would meet that threshold.
It is also why graduate kids can transfer however they wish and play right away. Mainly focused on kids getting that degree foremost.
