Agree after this long, one can only assume we have reached reconsideration or a full appeal (which sound quite quick, ~1 week). Guessing we are stuck in reconsideration. Any idea?

I'm not involved in the case. In reality, timelines are fluid. The process can take longer when there is more documentation and at the NCAA's discretion. But it has gone beyond UT athletics, which generally happens at the appeal stage.

Michigan has a history of trying to sink cases by submitting a statement that the player transferred of his own volition for more playing time, which refutes the claims of the filing school. Cases take longer when the filing school can effectively counter the previous school's statement and provide documentary evidence to support the case.

The process is confidential, but once the case is closed, Solomon and his family can reveal the specifics. They see the paperwork sent to UT Compliance and can choose to discuss it publicly and challenge any statements made by Michigan, if they wish.

Thanks. That explains a lot. Looks like the worst case scenario is Michigan gets a black eye.

I haven't seen Michigan's paperwork-- that's just what they've done in other cases. It's all confidential unless the player or his family releases details. But yes, Michigan is getting exposed.

I understand. I had been wondering what they could be doing that might be the hang up. They have already gotten some negative press so more would be good. Of course, I am hoping for the best case scenario.
