'17 GA DT Aubrey Solomon (NCAA IS A FAIR ORGANIZATION)

It's because the Michigan AD submits a statement saying the player transferred of his own volition for playing time. That's not valid grounds for a waiver, which leads to denial. Michigan can act coy and play semantics about not blocking waivers all they want; the new process requires a statement from the previous school stating why the player transferred and Michigan knowingly sabotages the player's chances.

Like you said, the paperwork is on the AD...thus Harbaugh also has plausible denialbility...

These kids need to be told to document EVERYTHING before they leave. Get written statements from the coach or AD verifying the reason for leaving.

I think that the amount of Transfers from Michigan that are not eligible should throw up a red flag to the NCAA Committee.

Also, Vol Twitter it’s about time to get involved. So get on it VOL Twitter assemble!

Right now they are 3/5 accepted. Solomon denied would make it 3/6 - 50%. National average, last I heard, was 68% approvals. Better get they numbers up and help him out!

If the school isn't invested in helping players, they're not going to cooperate. But players and their families can follow up notification of the intent to transfer with a letter reiterating their reason and have the new school include that in the waiver package. Compliance departments have learned a lot... but the NCAA probably will change the guidelines because they just made the process more cumbersome.

What are you talking about dude they have 13 scholarship players pending transfer. 16 total transfers and 3 of those 16 are walk-on it seems.

13 show Pending? Then we are on different sites. I am looking at 247 and Aubrey is the last one under UM still waiting according to their portal page.

What site are you looking on?

Edit: Fwiw I'm quite certain the Hudson kid to Cinci was also denied outright. So that's 3 denials. Solomon would be 4. That has to be the most in the country to fail.

I think some of the 13 are grad transfers so no waiver needed.

Exactly. No way they have 13 pending.
So I went through some of the 247 Michigan transfers and it's tough to tell. The qb is a grad transfer. One of the receivers and Tyrone Wheatley junior both quit the team in August of 18 so they're eligible now. But James Hudson is I believe the guy the article in the athletic is about with Luke fickell and Hudson's parents accusing Harbaugh of lying. And his status is blank even though he was denied and his appeal was denied.

I say we tell the NCAA to free Aubrey or we send Paul Bain to pay them a little visit.
