Is it just me, Ron, or is AP all of a sudden posting some nuggets that are more positive for the Vols than this time yesterday lol? West was a "he gone" 24 hours ago, now he's a coin flip?

It's almost like VQ is trying to create drama and maybe we're in for some surprises and the panic was premature as per usual.

I don't think AP understands the phrase "coin flip." We could get him, but FSU is definitely more likely.

He also said "coin flip" for Gilbert when nobody thought he was committing here

This would be a MASSIVE win for Garner and our program. I'm all for getting players from the portal, but we've got to recruit and develop some 4-year players on the DL.

I believe AP is fairly sensitive to not ruining a kid's moment. Not saying he's got some moral high ground here, but I think his playbook is to drop hints throughout the week to let you know the kid's not coming. Then the night before hit us with a "you never know, the staffs haven't heard". Then when they go elsewhere "other school had been trending there for a while".

The FSU pull in his area will probably hurt us in a split decision but if he were picking off coaching staffs and program trajectory it is a no brainer where he should go

Listening to todays VQ podcast, AP shares some pretty good info for those who really care about instate guys. He talks about how Heupel and the recruiting staff basically didn’t have enough time to get back in like the old staff was. Losing our entire recruiting department has hurt us almost as bad as the cheating gump imo.

I don't mean this to you, but this should be of no surprise to know one. Complete and necessary gut job. Add to this the stupid Dead period that went on until June and the inability to even see a prospect in person. People be nuts, this staff has done a fine job.

I completely agree with everything you said. The guy job needed to happen. I just feel like not very many take that into account when talking about the recruiting this year.
