All the man said is that’s not something he expected to see. And he’s right. 3 days ago, absolutely no one on this board thought there was a chance Agu would stick with Vandy. Just scroll back a few pages. I mentioned it as a possibility and people laughed. You do understand he was going to Notre Dame and the commuted to Vanderbilt because of their coach. This is not that unexpected. Calm down a bit.
Well he should have expected it. It was very clear to everyone that has a brain stem. Chill out this is not the end of the world. All the man said is that’s not something he expected to see. It doesn’t take a genius to understand the difficulty of flipping a player that turned down Notre Dame for Vanderbilt because the coach left. You should t be puffing your chest … everyone knew that. Not puffing my chest out, but I posted on here a few days ago that this was a possibility. Not hard to add up.
It’s actually Clark Lea. Just because he likes him it doesn’t need to be immoral. It’s just a personal connection. Not really a big deal. Let it go.Who is this coach who puts Garner in the shade? Let me guess. His name is Benjamins B. Goode.
I really kinda feel bad for Agu if he picks the commode doors. I thought he liked football.
Jared Verse? I don’t get this meltdown at all.. we’re signing 20-21 guys Wednesday plus a transfer or 2 that’ll be here in January. There’ll be quite a few guys that don’t sign and we’ll have spots for them in February for the actual NSD. Not to mention the transfer portal is gonna be wide open up until late spring. Step away from the ledge man. Did you expect them to fill the class before the new year?We do? We have Josephs and….? Pearce is choosing not to sign in December because he wants more options. Agu literally is choosing Vandy over us. Who are our other options?
We all have to be realistic here. Is the sky falling? No.Jared Verse? I don’t get this meltdown at all.. we’re signing 20-21 guys Wednesday plus a transfer or 2 that’ll be here in January. So what if he lands Moten in February, grabs a stud DT out of the portal and then gets Vic Burley in the boat early for 2023? (because that’s looking very likely) will the tone change then?We all have to be realistic here. Is the sky falling? No.
But is it also disappointing and surprising to many of us if we strike out on M’ba, Agu, West and Nolen? Yes, especially with Garner’s reputation.
Both can be true.
That’s off topic. Banks’ consideration for the Broyles Award has absolutely nothing to do with our current recruiting. I’m not saying he can’t coach. I’m not saying we can’t be good on defense. I’m saying 2 things are factually true, and have merit:This statement has no merit whatsoever. It is a tired narrative, and if it were true, Banks wouldn’t have even been considered for the Broyles Award.
Of course the tone will change then! We’re all still pulling for the guy. We haven’t written his obituary. So what if he lands Moten in February, grabs a stud DT out of the portal and then gets Vic Burley in the boat early for 2023? (because that’s looking very likely) will the tone change then?
Y’all act like we’re in derperate need for DTs. We have one of the best interior DL rooms in the country and a lot of them are still very young. Big O and Dajon Terry are studs. Jordan Phillips will be a good football player for us. We haven’t even seen Dominic Bailey yet and he was a top 200 guy.. dude might end up being a good player when he gets on the field eventually. Same with Eason who’s putting the weight on to play there

1. We’re having a harder time recruiting defensive players than offensive players.
2. Garner is having a harder time recruiting here than he did at Auburn.
Those are the current facts. Personally, I believe our up-tempo offense has something to do with that. That was a concern many Vol fans had at the time of Huepel’s hiring. I still believe in CJH and think he’s great for our program. But this is our reality and a battle we’ll constantly face, IMO.

a chance to get that education paid for would be hard to turn down.I gotta say, this kid is really loyal if he goes to Vandy. To commit to play for Lea at Notre Dame is one thing. To remain committed to play for Lea at Vandy is another. Will Lea make last long enough to see this kid graduate? I doubt it.
Do you people really not understand that we’re recruiting against an active NCAA investigation? We all have to be realistic here. Is the sky falling? No.
