The nation’s No. 1 defensive lineman was back at Georgia two weekends for an unofficial and the intel continues to favor the Bulldogs. Griffin continues to keep a keen eye on places like USC and Miami as well.

The Bulldogs got Gibson back on campus over the weekend and sources indicate the in-state power is in strong position. Tennessee remains the darkhorse with a couple others in play.
The misinformation part in regards to Chaz was from posters misconstruing what the insiders were saying in terms of our NIL offer not being competitive in which that was never once said by our insiders, some thought we gave him a weak offer based on what was said but the reality was while we had the lowest offer it was still very competitive…some ppl have trouble with context.Just an interesting about face you've taken with regards to speculation on things people aren't 100% certain on...spreading misinformation as you've termed it previously.
so we offered more money and more playing time obviously. If Kirby can close that just because of in state I'll respect that. Staff did everything they couldI am not as dialed in on hoops but I was under impression it was multiple 6 figures different from his 2nd highest offer and over 500k less than his best.
I’d call that significant lol.
I think it was like 200-300k difference from the highest offer when our insider posted the numbers but state taxes etc come into play with those other offers.I am not as dialed in on hoops but I was under impression it was multiple 6 figures different from his 2nd highest offer and over 500k less than his best.

This is similar to what I mentioned in the David Sanders thread. 5*s are going to have a market value. That's just the game now. A kid wanting to get his estimated market value doesn't mean he's coming here just for the money. If all other factors are pretty equal, with the exception of how respective schools value a recruit monetarily, then that can be the deciding factor.I mean after 2 years his replacement will already be on the team. In 2 years, either he's a stud, or he's looking for a fresh start. If he's a stud, I doubt that he goes anywhere because he will be draft eligible the next year.
I have no insider information on Chaz was just following like a fan so you may be more accurate.I think it was like 200-300k difference from the highest offer when our insider posted the numbers but state taxes etc come into play with those other offers.
Idk I work with contracts all the time so your definition of significant could be different than mine. Also ours apparently had bonuses like in Knecht’s contract

Also in regards to Gibson we have no clue how much less of an NIL offer was made by Georgia’s collective, it could be significant or it could be like 20k less. Who knows… but let’s not act like we don’t have a legion of miserable on this board during the Chaz Lanier recruitment that loved to stir up negativity through misinformation when they got the chance..
