So supposed UT "fans" on twitter were trashing her son? I don't think that was why he committed to USC, but that appears to be justification enough after the fact for a ticked off mom. I really wish parents and guardians of these student athletes would stay off SM. I know that is not really possible in many cases, but for every 1,000 quietly respectful fans of any given fanbase there is one enormous moron screaming obscenities about these kids from the rooftops. Unfortunately, those are the ones that get seen more often than not.

Well I hope we land some of our other OLB/DE prospects to make missing here less of a loss. I doubt the coaches stop recruiting him though.

Kids from the southeast that have never really been anywhere can become enamored with the "Hollywood" vibe on a visit to USC. I like Danny Okoye better as a prospect than I do Fountain, but I honestly thought we had this one wrapped up. Mom going nuclear on Twitter over a comment like "you messed up" is wild though. I don't see this ending well if she is going to take on every negative Vol twitter poster. So this will be the first time I've ever said this but....He gone!!!!

It was one of those new Tennessee fanpages on IG ran by some middle schooler that thinks he knows everything coming at Fountain in the comments of his post bc the kid has the right to say his opinion wherever he pleases and he's glad they are upset bc he doesn't respect anyone that flips or chooses the best NIL (paraphrasing what he just told me). Only good Vol pages on IG really are Vol Scoops, Volology, and Neyland Reports

If anyone thinks that is an actual Vol fan then nothing can be said. And momma is foolish for reacting in such a way. If a jerk on social media has you reacting that way, it stands to reason the son will act out following her lead. People are brutal on social media and you have to ignore it.

Who knows why the kid picked USC , wonā€™t know till maybe his career is over with but itā€™s one thing to ,I guess, to be a fan of a kid and be up his ass but to dog a kid , regardless, is another thing. I donā€™t know the facts of any of this sm crap as I have done deleted everything expect volnation but canā€™t be having fans act this way. Upset go somewhere else , swear internet has ruined the social life in general . On the other side ,kid is always going to have doubters and the media coming at him . Have to learn to tone it out.

Parents and players need to realize not all the negative comments are from the schoolā€™s fanbase. A lot of time, itā€™s people making burner accounts masquerading as opposing fanbases to rile them up. I see it all the time on social media. They keep doing it b/c people keep falling for it lol. If I was a troll on sm, I would do the exact same thing

Guess I should have addressed that too, yes , folks need to learn not all media posters are fans or even true fans of that school. All to piss them off. Regardless, as why I was short at the end that parents and players need to block that out cause the media and everyone is always out to get them.

In checking around, USC certainly wasnā€™t expecting this coming into the weekend. They felt better coming out of the weekend but still felt like TN was the team to overcome. Folks I have talked with seem to think he will still take visits along the way, and I would be surprised if he doesnā€™t. Now, does that mean he shows up for his OV in two weeks or does that potentially happen later on? We will see. TN was the leader here for a while and it feels like they will at least get another swing at some point.

People need to stop responding to recruits posts with negative comments, but if this is the type of response his mother is going to post on social media, probably for the best he isnā€™t a Vol. Not sure telling someone to ā€œF Offā€ in the public social media square is the best culture fit here.
