The funny thing is that tolerating some of that is the cost of playing in front of a passionate fanbase. USCw fans aren't very loud or engaged. They draw about 65K in a statement that holds 77K. If that's what he wants... I guess he's got it. Maybe he will be in the portal in a couple of years. There’s idiots everywhere.
I’m sure there’s been worse said.
Yes. We know this from interviews, nobody is getting the “commit, commit, commit” line.We are in really good spots for a lot of guys. Do you guys think this staff doesnt push hard enough for commitments?
Dumb posts are dumb.Do not care. He is a SDE. He plays the same position as William Nwaneri, Kam Fountain and Elijah Rushing. Fountain to me and the services is literally 4rth on our board. Obviously if we miss on the other guys, Fountain would hurt more, but i like our chances with the other guys.
Also depth chart wise, this year we have Baron, West, Hobbs, and Tyree Weathersby with only Baron gone after this season.
He is 6'5.5 245 already and his frame is huge. He will be 260-270 in college. He is not a WDE, how do you even evaluate? He will play SDE when in a 4-3 and just a regular DE when we go to a 3-4 look. If he is really good they might move him inside on passing downs like Baron. He will play the exact same role as nwaneri, Rushing, West, Hobbs, and Weathersby....you are smoking crack if you think this guy is a WDE.Fountain is an edge, not a SDE. Fountain wasn’t down the board either

Was wondering if we could have got sammy brown if we had played the Clemson way there. And mind goes back to others from last cycle that we really wanted and they ended up going elsewhere.
That said, staff is looking for a rare type of loyalty in the new NIL world. That has its positives and negatives, losing out on some we ‘maybe’ could have had if we pushed harder.
Personally, I wish they pushed harder and for sooner when they know a guy is in, like this guy was. Should have pushed for the commit and him to shut down his recruitment. We’ll see if we can get him to come back around.
Of course, that advice would have been even more solid had Pruitt had a clue how to develop players. He didn't. Heupel and staff do.And…this is why I’ve stopped following recruiting as much lol. As terrible as Pruitt was as a coach, “worry about the ones we get, not the ones we don’t” is actually solid advice.
