'24 GA EDGE Kameryn Fountain (USC commit)

Wonder why the coaches are wasting their time? People on here have told me the recruiting timeline has changed and once a recruit goes to another school, regardless of the month, that it’s over and there is no chance of flipping?
Same reason why we go after chicks who have bf’s or major red flags, cause we think we can fix em

The further out from that commitment he gets, the further Los Angeles feels away from Atlanta.

I think he got there, got caught up in the moment and probably pressured a bit by the glitz and glamor, and he made a hasty decision. Momma got sold a bill of goods, too, on the educational side of things. Tennessee isn't USC or Michigan as a public institution, in general, but it isn't DeVry or U. of Phoenix, either.

Very very few elite football prospects are taking the next level classes or majors. They're getting the same education across almost all major universities. Momma definitely got sold a bill of goods.

Don't think he's going there to play school. He's going to play football.

I figured the Fountain bridge was burned. Momma don't want him going to an idiot school.

After the Twitter spat, this guy is not coming here. Imo, waste of time but I'm not on the staff. I hope they got other options and this is not a sign we are not in good position with others.

I say that, but if he flips to us I’m sure I’ll be on board like everyone else.

I just like being petty

I'm sure the coaches were pissed when they found out he was considering USC and probably called him about his decision and said, look Kameryn I Need to Know what you're thinking so please Stop Dragging My Heart Around.
Who really knows why he originally chose USC.
He probably told them he had always wanted the big NIL bag and was just Running Down a Dream.
Or maybe his mom was the one pushing him to go there for the education.
Hell, he might have been bitten by some vampire that was moving west down Ventura Boulevard or possibly even tied up, taken away, and held for ransom.

After he told them he was leaning USC Heupel probably implored him, one last time, Don't Do Me Like That.

I'm sure Heupel told him he wouldn't stop recruiting him and he Won't Back Down. It's good to hear he's still considering us and hopefully he'll flip But the Waiting is the Hardest Part.
But, I guess if he doesn't flip, we'll just have to take another dance with Mary Jane, one more time to kill the pain.

The staff is trying to get guys, and they aren't Vol homers. So they're gonna forgive and forget a POS hottake and behavior from a recruits mom and what she says about this university.

But I won't.

Why isn’t the staff Vol homers?

What happened exactly? I haven’t followed this recruitment

Do you think they're as offended by insults to the academic life at UT as we are? I'm talking about every aspect of the university. As a second generation graduate and homer, it pisses me off.

They take to heart the athletics... more specifically their football team. I don't think they care one bit if someone takes shots at other aspects of the school. Especially academics. They'll get the info together to explain to her why she's wrong, but they're not going to be offended. That's probably for the best, because apparently we are still in it for consideration where most of us would choose to shut that down.

We talk about players being "mercenaries" when we get in bidding wars for them or get a graduate transfer for 1 year or something. Coaches are mercenaries sometimes too. Do we think Nick Saban loved Alabama 3 years after being hired? It was the best career stop for him and they paid him. Jeremy Pruitt was a mercenary. Some coaches eventually fall in love with their adopted school, and I hope that happens with Heupel. But I don't think its farfetched to say a lot of the coaches on this staff aren't offended by a mom calling UT a "bottom of the barrel ass school" about academics - and that's okay.

[I want to make it abundantly clear I'm not complaining about the coaches at all. 0% complaints. It's just the reality of the situation.]

He abruptly committed to USC then his mom was on social media calling UT a "bottom of the barrel ass school" with respect to academics. Said we didn't give them any academic info (very slim chance that's true) or talk about it at all and referenced our national ranking.
