'19 GA LB Jamie Pettway (Missouri signee)

Chris Donald was, what I thought, to be as sure of a superstar as there was. The highlight of him diving over the line and tackling the QB and RB at the same time was epic. But he couldn't put it together for whatever reason.

Him and Jaques Smith are 2 of my biggest disappointments in recruiting the last few years.

I know him. He was there at a terrible time. Fulmer was being forced out, Kiffin being brought in. A lot of guys were lost in the fray during that fiasco. Transferred to UTC and had a good career. Good dude too

We noticed that while he was here. 👀

He definitely didn't run that 4.5 and if he did I ran way faster lol... My lowest 40 was a 4.49 clocked and that dude was definitely not faster than me.

Edit: Now Patrick Willis that kid was legit. And his cousin who died in a clay pit was just as good.

Here, Pettway looked decent in the 1 on 1 run drills at the Orlando Camp.

His speed was surprising for a big kid in coverage against a little, fleet-footed Slot WR, but he was burned a couple of times by the big TE. He appeared lost, even:

He wasn’t beat, per se. in a real game you wanna see the LB move the TE off those hash marks and make him have to strain to the middle. In man-1 you should have that safety there and in cover-2 you would pass off to the S. What you don’t see in these drills are the other corners forcing the receiver back into the field or the safeties over the top. LBs are gonna cover the center to the top of the numbers. He did great in there.

Agreed. He is very athletic.

Stop speaking from experience? Ok.

No, he meant for you to stop plug endorsing yourself. You could have simply stated that you played against him and didn’t think he was as good as advertised. Instead you inserted your forty time and it came across as a self-inflating announcement.

Anybody got the copypasta from the guy who talked s*** on college players for the weight they were lifting, talked about how much he could lift in HS, and that he quit because he just didn’t like being on a bad team?

Seems relevant right now.

But did you lift a car with your bare hands and walk around the weight room with 600+ lbs on your shoulders?
