I’m glad this kid is getting his spot. He’s wanted it as bad as anyone this year. I think he’ll be a player, too. He seems like a hard worker.

To'oto'o is taking an OV this fall and UT is currently one of his top 2 teams. He has a strong relationship with Kevin Simon, so if we have a better than expected season, you can't count us out. He has already ruled out UCLA and said he isn't changing his mind... which is surprising. But then again, he's 17.

With Kane Patterson off to Ohio State, Tennessee will turn its attention to Jamie Pettway. Patterson was a loss for the Vols, but Pettway was really impressive camp in June and has the ability to play multiple spots at linebacker at the next level.

Asking a tough question but would this be a little boom pick up? Just reading the last couple pages of the thread sort of reads that the staff isn't necessarily on fire for the kid.

Pretty sure he is probably like a 4 on our list, but thats not to say the coaches arent high on him just not as high as some other recruits. I think he would be a good get for us. If nothing more i think he would try to help recruit pretty hard.

He performed very well at camp and the coaches like him even more than they did previously. He's likely our next LB commitment.

Let me preface this by saying I don’t think that he is, BUT, if Pettway is the 25th ranked player in our 25 player class we should all be doing back flips. Don’t let the offer list fool you.

Wasn’t he behind Kane and To’oto’o? Sounds like To’oto’o is falling on people’s boards and Patterson’s a bucknut. Especially if he’s a player on the rise.
