'18 GA LB JJ Peterson (Tennessee signee)

He has now decided to make his announcement during the Army Game and based on our conversation I fully expect him to pick Tennessee during the broadcast. He is scheduled to visit Knoxville next weekend.

We have confirmed from multiple people that Rush Propst is in Knoxville today and has visited with the Tennessee staff.

What it means is unclear or what he role could be if he were hired is unclear, but we have been able to confirm that he has been in town today.

If Tennessee is going to recruit JJ Peterson and they hired Propst then Propst role would have to be an on the field role and Pruitt has one on the field spot left and currently doesn't have a receivers coach.

Does Rush Probst have a background with WRs?

Also is he well thought of by other HS coaches in GA and Alabama?

What's people's thoughts on Probst as a WR coach?

Take everything else out. I know he's been a very successful high school coach. Thoughts?

I know you didn't ask, but I do know he was one of the first guys to buy the Tony Franklin System. Hoover High School was the main client Franklin used to sell his system to other schools. So he should know the passing game really well after running the air raid for years.

Propst and Pruitt have a great relationship. Propst by all accounts is a excellent coach and what he can do on the recruiting trail will be valuable to any staff. So the hire if hired has value outside of JJ.

Propst also has been looking after JJ and his daughter for some time now. My understanding his life has not been easy and Propst has built a lot of trust with the kid over time and with Pruitt due to his relationship Propst. I would love to see the kid at UA but many times we see kids come from tough backgrounds just not make it and maybe it is their lack of trust in the people around him. If he has that trust with Propst and Pruitt maybe he will succeed at UT better then any other program. I wish the kid well.

Rush is one of the best coaches in the country. HS or college an incredible offensive mind and has put wide recivers in the SEC. He would be an incredible addition to the offensive game plan and could easily handle wide receiver position.

Good info.

How successful do you think Propst could be recruiting?
