'18 GA LB JJ Peterson (Tennessee signee)

I'm a huge fan of Doug. Been listening to his shows for several years now. Sometimes I think he's a little overly optimistic, which is his prerogative, but he's about as good as it gets in the middle Tennessee area. I think he thinks will win 7 or 8, but I disagree.

of course you do....

My first ever screen shot. Even though it wasn’t to quote me and had nothing to do with me, I’d like to take this moment to recognize...this moment. I’d like to thank VN for your allowing me to type in your space. Freak, none of this would be possible without you. I’d also like to thank Ron Swanson for always saying something meaningful and quote worthy. Each of you are special in your own way. Yes, even you Catbone. I’d like to dedicate this moment to all the posters who never bring any relevant info to the board.

It's an issue of timing. If he retakes the ACT this weekend, there's no guarantee the results will be available in time to clear for the fall session. The only option left is to raise the core GPA with online courses. If he doesn't qualify by fall, he can retake the ACT and multiple core classes to land where he needs to be on the scale and enroll whenever he qualifies. But that won't help us-- or him-- this fall.

While there's no guarantee, there's a pretty good chance Peterson would get his results prior to the start of classes on 8/22. The test is this Sat 7/14 and per the ACT website, "Multiple choice scores are normally available within two weeks after each national or international test date, but it can sometimes take up to eight weeks. Writing scores are normally available about two weeks after your multiple-choice scores."
Scores

As long as he doesn't encounter one of their listed "delay issues," Peterson could very well have both his MC & written scores posted before 8/22.

Has that new redshirt rule been implemented? If so he can play in a few games this yearand still have 4yrs of eligibility left.

Yes, if he makes it in, he can play 4 games if redshirted but I assure you, if he makes it, he will not redshirt. I think what will hurt him with this ordeal is he is having to study books and not the playbook. He will be behind the curve but once he gets comfortable, this guy will be a freak on the field.

Size? Check
Speed? Double check
Power? Triple check

He likes to strike you, once he starts, he will stay there till he graduates.

If the coaches thought retaking the ACT was a better bet, you gotta think he would've retaken it in June. I'm sure they've worked out the most feasible path to getting him here as quickly as possible. There's still optimism that he can get the grade needed on the last class, clear the NCAA and enroll 8/1-- or as soon thereafter as possible.
