'24 GA LB Sammy Brown (Clemson commit)

Well if UGA is really out... I'd say all bets are off. No one believes, that matters anyway, we surpassed anyone. But everyone says we're in it. Based on what everyone was saying last week, I would have said a CB to UGA would all but seal it.

That it wasn't... almost makes me think we have a better shot now.. 😂
I like the way you think!

I had forgotten that Sammy's OV to Clemson was this weekend, so in that sense, the Fong bomb isn't as out of nowhere as I had first thought. That said, if ol' Rub-a-dub-dub Watson was the primary selling point of Clemson culture, I'd bet Joel Osteen would also love an opportunity to talk to those recruits about financing their "best life now".

Tennessee would not have the gonads to schedule that type of series.

4 games with Oklahoma in a 13 year span. Not our fault that we had to cancel 2 of them. Also 2 games with Oregon in 3 years. Both of which fell within a year of them playing in the NC game. We did run from the Army game but I’m 200% against us ever playing a triple option team.

Losing a battle to UGA is one thing at this point but ffs out recruit Clemson. Lol

That’d be nice but why in the world do you think we should be able to out-recruit Clemson? We’ve had one 10+ win season since 2007. Clemson has 12 in a row including 2 NCs.

Any time we out-recruit them we should celebrate bc it absolutely should not happen.

Well yeah, I’d hope they’d be able to win 10 games a year in the ACC where there’s literally zero competition.

One program is on the raise, the other the game has started to pass up unless their coach adapts. Sure they’re still having good seasons wins wise, but that’s more to due with their lack of competition and Gone are the days they’d hang with the top SEC teams in a game at this point. JMO In the past should we have out recruited them? No. Now? Yes.

That seems like quite an oversimplification of reality to a high school kid who has only ever known Clemson to be a national powerhouse, and Tennessee to be rather irrelevant until last year.

Absolutely should not happen?
Our overall recruit class ranking wasn't that different from Clemson's when they began their run.

Fast forward to now and we beat them in a year they won they ACC.
That literally was our last game. So, the whole "should not happen" is a bit extreme.

Wow……

IF true, things took a drastic turn in the last week.
I was told Clemson was Out???

Oversimplification to a high school kid who only remembers Tennessee kicking Clemson butt . Yes I believe last year makes a huge impact.

Yep, we know how to schedule. But we are better at canceling. Have to make slots for those OVC and other minor conferences.

Yeah, it should help to start turning the tide, but all of a sudden expecting Tennessee to instantly start dominating Clemson in recruiting based on one outcome while ignoring the sales pitch of a program that has had the kind of success they had in the last decade is pie in the sky, IMO.
