'20 GA OL Tate Ratledge (UGA commit)

at least the bills actually made it out of the playoffs to the title game more than 1 time......

but if we're going for "biggest loser" accolades for UGA, i'm for it, regardless of the comparisons...............................
Braves made the World Series 5 times! One more than the Bills! Yeah you should back out of this one...not really fair. 😉

“Mean ole recruit’s dad took our sticker off his car wahhhh”

Still would argue the reactions of those fans are more in the ‘snowflake’ category.

What kind of person is not able to understand and approve a father becoming a fan of his own son's chosen team? Snowflake, yes. But that does not cover all of the defects and deficiencies involved. Accurate descriptions for such people require words more harsh than snowflake.

Matt Luke going to mess it up and Pee down his leg during the visit

Tate: "Uhh... coach? Did you just pee your pants in my living room?"

Luke be all like....

Who TF cares if he did it publicly? It’s still a damn sticker. That’s it, a sticker. And he removed it. Didn’t stomp on it. Didn’t throw it down. Didn’t piss on it. Didn’t light it on fire. Didn’t flip it off. Didn’t run it over. Didn’t do anything disrespectful. Just removed a sticker and replaced it with one to support where his boy was going to school. Seems like a pretty normal, harmless move to me?

The fact it was filmed literally changes nothing. That’s just some keyboard warriors being all up in their feelings.

I don't GAF one way or another because I'm not one of our lunatic fringe fans. I just think it's funny how they do this so publicly because everybody thinks they have something very important to say to the world on social media and thinks they're a celebrity but then people are surprised by the outcome lol

I don’t know if they’re surprised that people react, maybe just that some people react so irrationally. I don’t know what has been said to this man or Tate, but I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that some of it was out of bounds. I mean JG got death threats this year for playing poorly. A kid trying his hardest to help the team win and he got death threats. Where is the logic in that?

Not saying that’s the majority, but let’s not pretend like it’s not out there.

There was so much made about the fact that the dad and the family were such big Vol fans during the recruitment, I actually thought it was kind of cool the dad made a public gesture to support his son. I mean, it sucked as a Vol fan, but good for him as a father. I stopped checking the thread after the commitment, so I didn’t even realize it had blown up like it did. Much ado about nothing IYAM.

If Ratledge makes it in this weekend for the OV to UGA, it's not necessarily a bad thing. It could end up helping us.

His vibe at UGA could be totally different without Pittman around and maybe he won't like the new OL coach or the plan in place.

Henry T said after his OV to Bama, he knew UT was the place for him.

Omari Thomas after his Auburn visit as well, shared the same sentiment.

the problem with that line of thought is that Tate's been committed there, and probably visited a lot up to this point. Omari wasn't committed and had only visited Auburn once or twice before his OV. it was just a "check" visit to make sure.

Tate's visit this weekend is wholly different.

but i get why some might look at it that way...just don't see it being similar situations.

The pitch would be Matt Luke isn't going to be your coach next year anyway and your not going to get any better Oline coaching anywhere better than Friend & Chaney who is a line guy. Look at the development we have already seen in one year.

Matt Luke will be a head coach in 2021 & you don't risk your future I'm unknowns. Friend is college roommate & Chaney is retiring here

It's not the same situation because of what you just mentioned.
However his main draw to the school has now left. And more than likely he is going there to "check" on how he now feels about the place now that everything has changed.
It's a brand new situation because of Pittman leaving. In that sense, I do believe they are exactly the same..

i'll still be shockd if he cancels the visit.

but really, we'll know whether or not we have a legit chance if we get to visit him in the next couple days. past that, this is probably just a lot of smoke.....still........you keep putting fuel on it.....see if you can get it stoked.

our pitch doesn't change from what it was in the spring and summer, and i don't even know that we need to even acknowledge Luke or Pittman. it's just kind fo a "known" at this point. Luke is the one that has to sell himself, and Kirby has to convince him everything's ok, and nothing's really changed.
