It's a weird fit for sure but Luke will probably only be there a year. This is just a filler for both parties. He's going to have OC and maybe some non P5 head coaching offers a year from now.

Also he's nowhere near the recruiter that Pittman is.

I don't want to get my hopes up, I honestly just don't see any reason why he would sign with them right now. His main guy is gone and the replacement won't be there long. He grew up a Vol fan, dad is a die hard Vol fan. Plus, Ga's offense is atrocious. The reason? We took their OC. Our offense is only improving and will be even better as Chaney continues to develop it and our OL continues to improve. There is more upside to our offense right now than theirs. GA is never going to be more talented than they are right now and their offense is pathetic. Plus he is friends with Cooper and there's a good chance even Cade, who was his player host, is gonna transfer here as well.

He has every reason to come here.

but i think unless something major changes in our communications with him, like really, really fast....he sticks at UGA.

Agree. If there is not visit, either in home or him coming to Knox, we have no chance. So we have to hope he doesn't shut it back down after visiting with Luke tomorrow. Hubbs said that he is speaking with us on the phone however, so the door is at least cracked here.

Did he have to do it so publicly? For the life of me I'll never understand the fascination with facebook, twitter, etc and why people feel the urge to put their private lives out there like that for the whole world to see. Then get upset because someone doesn't like what they did.

I think that we all will be happy at the amount of conversation that has already gone on. Not saying that he will flip but we are putting our best on him .

but if we're going for "biggest loser" accolades for UGA, i'm for it, regardless of the comparisons...............................

Who TF cares if he did it publicly? It’s still a damn sticker. That’s it, a sticker. And he removed it. Didn’t stomp on it. Didn’t throw it down. Didn’t piss on it. Didn’t light it on fire. Didn’t flip it off. Didn’t run it over. Didn’t do anything disrespectful. Just removed a sticker and replaced it with one to support where his boy was going to school. Seems like a pretty normal, harmless move to me?

The fact it was filmed literally changes nothing. That’s just some keyboard warriors being all up in their feelings.

I appreciate that. I do however think anyone that thought daddy Ratledge didn't know exactly what he was doing is naive. We hear all the time about how kids do and say stupid things. This was a grown ass man that knew exactly what he was doing IMO. All I'm saying is if he's going to put that stuff out there then surely he's smart enough to expect the backlash and shouldn't get butt hurt when it arrives. He didn't have to do it. There was zero reason to do it. It was completely staged. Also, I consider @jakez4ut a quality poster but I just disagree with him when it comes to this.

Also, I am not taking this serious at all. This has no bearing on me whatsoever. I don't care whether Ratledge signs here or not. We'll be just fine with him or without him, just like with Mays. I just wish these kids would act with a little more class when they decide not be a Vols. I don't like it when our guys do it either. I predicted when Mays signed with GA he'd regret it eventually. My gut says he's pondering "what ifs" now.
