no, and there's not really a lot of optimism that he will. at least to the point where he comes off the blood thinners and take contact.

it was encouraging to hear the reports of him participating in drills and some VERY light contact....but the verdict on him is still very much out.

i'd be shocked if he ever plays football again tbh.

That group had to have a complete change in philosophy and they had little talent. Plus, that 4th and 1 was a jet sweep to little Isaiah McKenzie despite having Chubb and Michel healthy (thank you Jim Chaney .. worst play call that year) so yes, a rebuild was in order in talent, coaching and style of blocking.

Whoops. Need to go to Costco for some GAF’s. Same point being why weren’t they GREAT? Pittman was there! Needed talent.

That's sad man .. that kid is crazy talented and hate seeing a kid end a career like that

yeah, we're pretty bummed, football wise. just glad they caught it when they did. there was a story recently, forget where from, where another football player died cause of this, just wasn't caught.

he wants to play, so if he's medically able, he will. but i just don't see it. no way to treat it that i'm aware of and still play.

Yeah but like Jake, I have serious doubts. If he was able to stop taking the blood thinners, it should have lasted the first attempt. Can't play while on them but how much does he risk by not.
Gotta worry about him first, football second.

I know one thing for sure there are not many on here that know as much as they think. Do not be mad just stating the typical like the others that a visit to another school and everything falls apart. Let the so called insiders cast there opinions for I like to get a good laugh myself.

Well, not many coaches get instant results though as a position coach, coordinator or even HC in year 1. Even in year 2 they were still lining up the horses from the previous staff's recruiting with the exception being Andrew Thomas. Gaillard, Wynn, Cleveland and some kids made up the starting 5

Truth .. the kid can still have a great future without football .. a healthy Trey is top priority

I hope I missed sarcasm here, because that offensive line wasn't the reason that team went 5-7. That defense was. Also, that 2012 offense still averaged 4.7 yards per carry on the 3rd fewest carries in the SEC that season.

No..Mays likely doesn't start until his SR year and he's a damn good prospect. Tate see's the field day 1 here rather at guard or tackle.

Doesnt matter how weak the pitch is if Tate is buying it. He has a longer and better relationship with Pittman right now. I'm not saying we can't close that gap because I dont think the gap is that wide honestly but right now UGA leads.

Maybe I should have qualified it as against good teams? Florida 83 yards on 28 attempts. Alabama 79 yards on 27 attempts. South Carolina 91 yards on 27 attempts. You're right about 2 things. The defense was horrible, and the offense could run well against the 4 out of conference powder puffs and the bottom half of the East. That isn't what I call stellar run blocking. You're cooking stats instead of actually remembering the games. Definitely not as dominate as they could have been given the number of guys that played pro ball on that line.

It will be sad if we can't pull this guy .. parents huge Vol fans ... that would 2 starters we have lost to GA ... Cade Mays and Tate ...
