'20 GA OL Tate Ratledge (UGA commit)

In that core group we're after, Ratledge was always at the far end of the spectrum, leaning toward UGA. Baron's at the other end for us. If Baron would go ahead and commit, UT fans would feel better.

i think there's plenty of things that would make us "feel better"... there's plenty of good players out there. but there will be a lot of folks that will latch on to Rogers and Ratledge, and there'll be no talking them down, no matter who we get.

that said, getting those two would be HUGE in more ways than one, and to see the effort put in to both kids go for naught, will suck.

it will also be putting things kind of on a thin edge depending on who we land going forward.....i think all of us could get over losing those two depending on who is brought in next. but there's some guys that would mabe be a tier lower than Ratledge and Rogers, that if they wind up going elsewhere, that's when this whole thing could go off the rails.....perception wise anyway.

If you don't like UT and don't expect to get back to winning titles and don't expect to be competitive for sec titles down the road , there is only one thing for you and that is too move on to something else. Tennessee will muttle through without you. Most fans realize we are down, that doesn't mean were going to stay down. So you message board posters that like to dwell in misery 24-7 go right ahead. The real world UT fans will still be pulling for UT, the message board is nice to look at real news but I can live without it. I know where to find real true friends and that is every Saturday at Neyland stadium or within my own friends. Tennessee football will be around and experience many more ups and downs and ups again we most of us are dead and gone. It must be a sad life to come in here and talk UT down all day, but by all means carry on. GBO!!!!!! Work em Coach Pruitt and staff!

People get upset over "losing" certain recruits that we never really had. We've been right there in it with Ratledge, but UGA always had that bit of an edge. If we had gotten commits from some of his buddies, peer-recruiting could have moved him into our camp-- and still could. Other guys like Jarrett and Rogers are like Bogle last year-- they love it every time they visit... then they love the next place, too. They think about committing here... there... then go elsewhere. Just part of it. Recruiting isn't always fun, and we have a long way to go.

To be fair, majority in this forum are the glass half full as recruiting is the lifeblood of any program and there is always hope with the newest recruit(s). Recruitniks know how vital recruiting is tied to on field success and are probably the most grounded, knowledgeable fans...

Here is what I do know, tomorrow is the last Tate or family will take any calls, visits (at school), etc. they are shutting it down for the weekend and will announce 9 am Monday. I do not think Rusty has made a video, think Ga fans are perpetuating that bc Rusty does have a commitment video ready for launch, but it is Not Tate.

Yeah I’m not sure it’s a violation but I would imagine it is since we had a secondary for him coaching the Oline last year for a brief period.
