If they cut him loose...you gotta think Gibbs was one of the first people Dixon told about the situation. This could have happened earlier in the week but he just now made it public. You never know...that's what could of caused Gibbs to go ahead and visit this weekend.

If Kirby Smart is recruiting the same type of players for his defense that he did at Bama, then Dixon doesn't fit the mold at any LB spot. He fits perfectly in our defensive scheme though. Could potentially play inside or outside here. It just depends on how he develops in the S&C program.

hmmm your probably right, I haven't read up on him that much so your probably bingo on this one. Either way I think he is a solid player.

They haver warner rice mcbride and britt all ilb. Thx to pruitt. Then jaden hunter for this class. Word is he was asked to cross train at safety and didnt take it very well. I get that after they recruited him for ilb....we dont have near that depth at ilb maybe this work in our favor. Had nothing to do with his ability but more about depth already there. That what been passed along to me

Apparently there's an article on 247 saying UGA "dropped him" because he doesn't fit their system.

He liked UT an awful lot early in the process and I believe he fits our system well. I like where this is going.

If he was to decide to commit to us now that would be 25 total commits. This means as expected Butch would have to let ~3-5 recruits go so we can have a better chance at improving our class rank come NSD. I'm sure you know that Mr. Swanson but wanted to say this anyhow. Thanks!

Definitely interesting timing with Gibbs here for what seems to be an unexpected visit.. Maybe a connection maybe not.. Seems like we should be in the driver's seat for Dixon regardless if it was a "mutual" parting.. I think that Dixon is a better talent than 2 of our current LB commits but we shall see how CBJ and co. perceive things

Gitshirts are inevitable with this class.. Has been something that has happened every year during Butch's tenure.. Include possible defections(i.e. Coleman) and this class will look very different in February..

SIAP but here is a link and a very interesting statement in the tweet: he says UGA will still be high on his list IF they keep recruiting him? Does that possibly imply that Smart cut ties with him? I thought Tennessee was the only school that did that type of thing.
