Jason Allen is the man, and a legend. One of my favorites growing up as a young Volunteer. I can still visualize his break-up in the 5th OT to seal the win over Bama in Tuscaloosa in 2003 like it was yesterday. I was only 10 at the time.
I can still visualize his hip dislocation against UGA by taking on Leonard Pope across the middle. 😫 It’s amazing that he was able to recover and play the way that he did in the NFL after that.

I remember that. We got destroyed in that game. That was one one of the best Georgia teams I have seen. We were still very talented and they manhandled us. Jason was trying to do too much that game.

I’ll never forget it either. I could hear him screaming from Z11 row 48. It was heart breaking but like you said, amazing to recover and have a great NFL career! Underrated amongst some vol fans but he was our Swiss Army knife in the secondary. VFL!

Agreed. Would love to see someone as versatile and talented as him or Eric Berry in this aggressive Pruitt defense

I remember it too. I was only 47 at the time.
