'21 GA OLB Smael Mondon (georgia commit)

Trust me when I tell you the folks truly in the know at UGA are aware they have a problem...but in typical form they would never admit it out loud. Just to each other in their private settings. You can only be a ******* when you are winning championships and beating the best in the league consistently.

Its never a good thing when your own coaches hate you more than your rival coaches do. It’s also never good when word gets around that you use people and then drop them once you get what you want out of them. That includes professionally and personally....that stuff gets out...it takes a little while but it gets out. There is only so much money that can cover those types of issues up.

SO I remember when all the talk of Mays gaining eligibility and those in the know claiming it was a lock and had nothing to do with the lawsuit from his parents. Makes me think some of these issues he's talking about may be the reason for the high confidence of immediate eligibility.

Not to mention all the kids that seemed to leave early for the draft last year.

The worst fanbase. Not even close.
I gotta go with Bama as the "worst" fan base. I vividly remember the mid '90's - mid '00's................The wagon was empty.

I can't wait for Nicky to stick around too long (ie....Bowden, Bear, Jo Pa) and then have the new coach fail miserably.;)

This is just what I wanted to hear! Y'all are starting to convince me that GA is as bad as FL and AL. I've never known a GA fan, but plenty insufferable AL fans and a few obnoxious FL fans. Looks like GA fans are insufferable and obnoxious.
I hate UGa. I hope they lose every game they play in every sport they play.

and i think there's been a couple transfers out of UGA? can't remember.

Yeah a lot of this started bubbling to the surface with Fields.

yep. and i think it's continued to simmer as guys like mays and gibbs transferred out, eaven EAson to to a certain extent. fromm leaving early.....the coaching changes and politics involved wiht how he's moved folks around etc...

it ain't all rainbows and unicorns down there. that much i'm confident in saying.

UGA reminds of htat kid in college that just got his student loan check and blows it all on coke and booze.

sure, it's fun for a while........but it's just not sustainable. :)

Biggest transfer hit to GA by far has been Justin Fields.

I’ve heard the same thing that Atlanta Vol is saying on many occasions. Word is leaking out finally how dirty and immoral this douche is, how little he cares about his players and coach’s, and just how much of an bleep he is. Recruits and coaches are talking about it. The covering up is failing more and more daily and it’s coming from the inside.

oh, i agree. but as a one off, it can be explained away...and Fields no longer has anyhting to gain by making anything more of it at this point. it worked out for him. start adding in the other transfers, coaching moves....then it's harder to keep under wraps and just explain it away.

almost the exact same thing that happened to butch. we all saw/heard things early on with him that raised an eyebrow, but were able to deal with it as an individual instance.

eventually it was a pattern and led to 2017....you can make similar comparisons to what's going on in Athens....they just have more htan enough talent right now to keep the lipstick on the pig.

Personally, I thought the whole Fields situation got overblown. Someone said something extremely stupid and got dealt with. UGA did what they could do to remedy the situation. But Fields was able to use it to gain immediate eligibility. As far as Fields himself, the story with UGA is over, but I'm pretty sure there are staffs that will still use that to neg recruit UGA. Not saying our staff, but Auburn? I would not be surprised at all to find out someone like Garner was selling that story to recruits on why not to go to UGA. JMO, but I'd guess there are still some coaches out there getting mileage on that story. And Fields success at Ohio State just sells it all the more.

The thought of Georgia falling apart is awesome
Heard it before about other places Though
Need to finally see it to believe it

By all accounts, Fields was lied to by Smart. The racism thing was just a way to avoid sitting out a year.

And I don't doubt he was lied to, but when it comes to neg recruiting, racism sells more than lying. JMO, of course, but given the cutthroat nature of CFB, I can't help but think there are coaches using that story as a weapon. Again, I don't think it's justified as UGA took the steps they could, but it's something that can be used to neg them. And Fields success just keeps him in the spotlight, which keeps the story alive.

mays and gibbs coming to TN from UGA probably sells too, to some degree anyway. i don't think this staff feels like it needs to negative recruit so to speak. seems like they are more than confident in themesleves and what TN has to offer prospects.

but i'd be hard pressed to imagine that it's not come up at some point.....lol.

Not saying they don't sell, but in Fields you have a player that's being mentioned for the Heisman. And like I said, not our staff, but a staff like Auburn? The story gets circulated.
