Save what you want this class is gonna be a 3* extravaganza recruiting battles against UCF and Memphis types. The staff has to build relationships and learn to close. Burns and Garner can't recruit every position for all the others. It's just a fact. We just held a mega star studded camp in Dallas and it was kinda unanimous when asked about UT. Waiting to see the results of the on field product vs SEC comp and sanctions.
Soooo...if it's unanimous, waiting to see on-field product against SEC and what happens with sanctions, it really has nothing to do with relationships, closing, sh!t recruiters, learning, Burns or Garner, Heupel having to "learn how to do this and this in this conference"...basically ANYTHING you've been spewing for the last months?

It’s kind of all of that though. Put it all together and that’s when we’ll have elite classes

shut the **** up you bozo

I'll shut the F*** up when you can show me where I'm wrong. Now carry on because I had a booster tell me the other day it's hard to even pay attention to UT recruiting lmao. I said man it will tk some time and on field productivity and it could change. If you kp it real you know the state of UT as it is today. A very low place. There are a few realist here that know this and admit it but only a few lmao

You're not wrong, but it's almost as if you have some giddy glee at the circumstance UT has found itself in. I really don't understand that. It's like you're being honest, yet trolling all at the same time. Why? We're in bad shape. We know that. Bad coaching hire after bad coaching hire does that. Pruitt left us a damn mess, and facing an investigation. We know that too. It's almost as if that damn Bama turd meant to destroy UT, but that would take intelligence I don't believe he possesses. Realistically, we know we are far down the ladder atm. But damn, you don't have to come on VN and act like you're enjoying it.

You’re wrong because you’re in the wrong place and you’d be better off going somewhere else and f****** yourself.

Maybe an unpopular opinion. Maybe not?

I don't think high school recruiting is going to be nearly as important any more with the transfer portal.

Most 4 stars are busts. Fact. Get a proven guy who wasn't a highly touted recruit, or get a highly touted guy who got buried on someone's depth chart. Multiple years of eligibility and can't transfer once they get here either way. Heupel has done both. I think the success in getting transfers vs high school so far from the CJH staff has as much to do with a recruiting philosophy as it does happenstance.

I think there’s a lot of feasibility to this, and with our current situation, it may be the way to go for the next 2-3 years. I especially like the idea that you have a player that has had a test drive lol.

And it would get us around the fact that in state players and people they are in contact with are more interested in other schools.

Meh, who cares. We would prob be recruiting about the same with or without potential penalties. We have sucked for 15 years, we have to turn it around before we can recruit top guys. I'd rather be where we are now then to have Pruitt for another year. It Is what it is

This is where I am at too. I would rather begin the rebuild process under Hype than endure another year of Pruitt. I was on the Pruitt bus when we hired him but he very quickly showed that he wasn't the guy. Glad he is gone. The investigation is just a song and dance. It will be over when it is over. I hope that it is thorough and leaves nothing else for the AA to find. Throw all the cards on the table.

It's just crap that other teams are juicing whilst Tennessee heard the gun, grabbed the gun, and shot itself in the foot.

If we hadn't the AA would have come along and shot us in the face sooner or later. Might as well shoot yourself in the foot and try to control the bleeding I guess.

The press conference could be tape for a Harvard Business Case on what not to do when faced with a negative situation. What she did was admit guilt to the extreme, walked away from the podium and then allowed the opposing coaches the ability to fill in the blanks how they see fit with the recruits and their parents. She should have said we are starting an investigation and we will provide the results of the process when it is completed.

Maybe, but it all depends on the breakdown of the most damaging evidence between inhouse and external. Trying to squeeze through with a denial plan could have been costly. Doubling down on immediately getting rid of all known insiders along with sacrificing a PROBABLY clean AD could turn out to be the money play with the NCAA being involved as early as possible and working in conjunction since then. Can't imagine playing stupid was a winning strategy.

It depends…. We will be able to see our approach versus Kansas basketball play out…they told the ncaa to suck it…. Bill self wore an adidas shirt and money chain around his neck for a snoop dogg school function that featured stripper poles and shooting fake 100 dollar bills into the crowd…. They also gave self a lifetime contract while being notified of 5 level one violations.

Not advocating denial or playing stupid in any way. Just thought that not providing any information to the media and competing schools until the investigation is completed is PR101.
