'21 GA OT Amarius Mims (Georgia commit)

Brent Hubbs’ comments in the War Room tonight weren’t very reassuring. I would prepare for Mims to commit to UGA next week. Not sure why the sudden change in the VQ staff’s opinion from last night/earlier today to now, but Brent gave the nice & easy let down post tonight. Hopefully the staff will continue to recruit him & work on him until NSD.

Boo this man!

Let us start with the biggest fish out there and that’s Amarius Mims. Mims was in Knoxville last weekend and from everything we’ve been told the visit went well. While Tennessee has made up more ground than any school in his recruitment over the last six months, and they are positioned as well as they can be, it’s hard not to think that Georgia isn’t still the favorite in this. After doing some digging late in the week, the fact that Georgia is the home state school and getting the last visit appears to give the Bulldogs the final chance to cement their spot at the top. No matter what happens next week, both schools will continue to recruit him until he signs in December with him likely to still take visits even after he makes his verbal pledge.

Georgia's that goofy ass neighbor that finally gets a faster car than you (because you got laid off and had to sell your cool stuff) and they proceed to side swipe a phone pole within the first two weeks . They'll still smoke you ,for now ,in their beat up jalopy because you're now driving an Accord, but you know it's only a matter of time until a roll back shows up dumping that twisted muddy heap in their yard because they can't drive and will never be able to.

Translation: Hubbs has no clue what is going to happen.
He may commit to UGA for whatever reasons, but nothing Hubbs said made me think he knows anything really. Sounds more like the lack of real info is making him predict the safe pick just because it's the "home school" advantage. Doesn't seem like anything to see here.
Y’all get defeated too quickly. That’s literally what Hubbs has continued to say the whole time

Different intel. It’s recruiting so things change. Had some positive outlook and then intel changed and so did outlook.

"Another cycle"?? We pulled 2 five star tackles just 2 classes ago....
Yeah, so this would make 2 classes straight with not even a mid 4 star OL if we don't pull Mims. Not good enough for where we want to be. I question Friend's enthusiasm for recruiting. He's a great coach, but...
