'21 GA OT Amarius Mims (Georgia commit)

I think Jamal Lewis was a pretty good get from GA. Before his ACL v Auburn, he was completely dominant, even rushing for 2000 in the NFL.

I think people are misunderstanding me,which may be my fault. I’m not talking about how impressive they were at UT. When I described Mims as being the most impressive pull I could name,I’m talking about the job done recruiting him. He has zero ties to the program, isn’t from N Georgia like Rogers and we’ve been down lately. That’s why it’s so impressive to me.

Stupid ? I believe my post was factual. BTW, I’m encouraged by the recent Mims posts and I’m attempting to temper expectations if his recruitment doesn’t pan out.

It’s the delivery. Opposed to “how did that turn out?” you may could say “we had Washington’s last visit and it didn’t work out for us so it might not hurt to temper expectations “.

Why are we not talking about what AP said on the podcast...He says that we LEAD for Mims....Seems like pretty big news.

At 5:10 mark he says we lead for 1 of Mims, Green, TID or Mondon. "Fraction of a lead for Mims coming into this weekend"

Also at 21:10 mark of podcast APs hot take is that we land Mims and Nyland Green.

he said its a hot take. if he was forced to make one, that would be it.

doubt sincerely AP would steal a kids thunder. he said we lead 'fractionally' but that could change this weekend.

The pups meltdown would be so epic if we beat them Saturday, then proceed to land TID, Mims, Green, and Mondon lol

i think the Mondon deal....unless something's changed...has just been so quiet. i really don't think anyone has a real good lead on where he's leaning.

TID...who knows.

i know this, i think Green is in good shape based on everything that's available. it certainly seems like we're in good shape with Mims.

and it's not like we aren't thick in it with TID and Mondon.

long story short....it's not inconceivable that we got all 4, however unlikely it is...it wouldn't be a complete shock to the system.

Forgot about that. My fondest memory of Lewis was him bending a gators face mask colliding with him going out of bounds.
Force of nature running back. Florida game still frustrates me with him getting limited carries behind Mark Levine. Love Cut, but that move and not embracing TE’s in the passing game (he does now) were my tics back then.

Agree. That was Jamals come out party. Dude was the best running back in football as a freshman. I honestly prop up the Vols running backs admit it! But wow, dude could have been an NFL back sophomore year. Was my fav time ever watching the Vols, besides 1998

Brent Hubbs’ comments in the War Room tonight weren’t very reassuring. I would prepare for Mims to commit to UGA next week. Not sure why the sudden change in the VQ staff’s opinion from last night/earlier today to now, but Brent gave the nice & easy let down post tonight. Hopefully the staff will continue to recruit him & work on him until NSD.
