Yeah when you don’t have more talent in other areas of the team an Elite QB is usually the great equalizer unless the other team just doesn’t show up to play. Pruitt really has to get us better in that QB spot in a hurry to be able to beat UGA.

We are good, but to compete against the big boys you have to be great. We aren't yet, that's the point.

I think Pruitt has done a good job flipping the roster save one position, but the lack of development there is very troubling. Like I said, I hope he's the guy.

It’s pretty simple, if you want to land elite recruits don’t get slaughtered by good teams. I’m obviously disappointed he isn’t choosing us, but can we really blame him?

We’ve been “rebuilding” since these kids were toddlers. At some point, regardless of talent, we’re going to have to start beating good teams if we want to take the next step. Far less talented South Carolina teams have beat UGA.

Pruitt is going to have to find a way to take the next step with what he’s got on this roster. Until then, we shouldn’t expect guys like Mims to pick us.

Is he getting burned or is this program losing out to others? Why get upset at the one or two guys that let you in, as much as they can, to the business and intricacies of recruiting?

Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.

All it takes is a QB to change the program and put up 10 win seasons. A couple 10 win seasons and competing for the East and you start landing more of the elite talent.

That QB could very well already be on the roster. Idk if it’s Maurer although he’s a heck of a lot more fun watch play football than JG. But I’m hoping Bailey lives up to the hype.

Hopefully by next year he’s ready to take control if he is. We can get there, just need the QB.

I agree with all this, but after year three if the best is what we have right now I have to question this staff's ability to develop the position.

We have to have a couple of legitimate top fives for that to happen...this years class ain't really bad, but it isn't closing the gap either.

That’s fair.

I’m still riding with HB, I think he’s the future. Really hoping and needing him to be the real deal that gets us to the next level.

Yea we good. At least 3rd in the East for the foreseeable future. Guys like Mims and Mondon are the recruits we need to challenge UGA and UF. And our class isn’t as great as you make it out to be. Look at our average per recruit. We aren’t in the top 10. We are in the top 10 because of total numbers.

OU, TAMU, UNC, UM, UA and UGA have yet to fill their class. We are at #7 now. When they fill up we will be somewhere around 12-14. That’s middle of the conference. But yeah everything is fine 🙄

To win a championship, agreed. But if we recruit in the 8-13ish range, there will be plenty of talent on the roster. You can already see the difference on D. That D keeps developing and becomes our calling. Then we have a QB lead us to a couple 10 win seasons and boom we start competing to land top 5 classes. And if we can do that then we’re in the game.

At this current moment, fresh off that game and the last decade or so, it feels really really far away. But I don’t think it actually is.
