To win a championship, agreed. But if we recruit in the 8-13ish range, there will be plenty of talent on the roster. You can already see the difference on D. That D keeps developing and becomes our calling. Then we have a QB lead us to a couple 10 win seasons and boom we start competing to land top 5 classes. And if we can do that then we’re in the game.

At this current moment, fresh off that game and the last decade or so, it feels really really far away. But I don’t think it actually is.

That’s a loooong stretch. Everyone of these kids aren’t telling multiple guys/teams they are coming? Everyone isn’t ‘on the take’, that’s insulting their morals and their families.

Do a few tell coaches/players what they think they want to hear? Sure
Are a very few on the take? Sure, but hasn’t AV bragged about being competitive in those rare situations? Yes, he has.

To think all kids lie is very naive.

TN always is top 10 classes tho, even Doolittle who didn’t couldn’t recruit a hooker had a top 10. We need top 5 like Fulmer brought year after year.
