‘23 GA OT Shamurad Umarov (Tennessee commit)

If he keeps his commitment date Friday I don't see anyway he isn't a Vol. If he delays it then he is probabiy going to Georgia
Not disagreeing, but man it's wild how these kids take months to "make a decision" then suddenly everything is fluid just days or hours from their decision. Similar to FM. I'd think I would have a plan - decide who I'm committing to - then set a decision date not too far off in the future. Stick to my decision, then stay loyal to my word (word is bond).

Of course bags can upend all of this and it's hard to blame anyone being offered 2x the money when your whole family's livelihood and generational wealth is on the line.

....
At this point if you still believe people know what recruits are gonna do then you’re too far gone.
My belief, should I even have one, is completely irrelevant to the evaluation of your truth claim. 😂 You know that!

You made a truth claim:
Nobody knows anything. Just all guesses passed along as fact
I asked you:
(a) Do you know that?
Or: (b) is that your guess passed along as fact?
It's your truth claim, not mine. So answer.

Now, to top it off, you've made a yet a second truth claim:
I got a big heart what can I say....
(c) Do you know you got a big heart?
Or (d) is that your guess passed along as fact?

Finally, you don't get away unnoticed trying to change my assertion. I didn't say anything about your heart (although you might want to see a cardiologist if yours is enlarged).

I said,
(e) "it's peculiar that you stay in the threads constantly, given your espoused view [that 'Nobody knows anything. Just all guesses passed along as fact.']"
Which is true.
And I said (f) "Kinda weird for a [self proclaimed] "realist" to feel a moral obligation."
Which is also true. And I guessed that you would make that excuse for dodging my questions and you did. But,

(g) You haven't demonstrated that a "large heart" is equivalent to "a moral obligation."
I don't think you know that either.

Haha exactly. Nobody knows anything. Just all guesses passed along as fact
Maybe we should separate fact (a justified true belief, according to epistemology) and "justified beliefs".

After all, nothing about the future can yet be considered as true. Even the belief that the sun will rise tomorrow is merely a strong belief through inductive reasoning.

I would say some people here hold very much justified beliefs. But not yet true, or actual knowledge. It's still worthy information. Much like a Fong Bomb, which is right some 92% of the time. It's not true yet, but it sure is meaningful.

It's all in the odds, baby. But just like any bad beat, being in the wrong sucks. But it has to happen sometimes, otherwise we would consider it fact/knowledge.

I haven’t talked to him since the last update. I’ll check with him in the next couple of days.
Checked in with my nephew this afternoon. Here’s the update from a teenager (my nephew) who plays for Denmark with Sham:

UGA has come strong since their other OL flipped to Bama. Uga told Sham they are taking top 5 most talented, not necessarily position specific. With that guy gone, Sham is in their top 5 and a definite take. The locker room rumor was that Sham was listening hard to uga.

But the word of the day: was. Sham put the rumors to rest. 95% confident he’s a Vol. I only hold off the last 5% in case uga comes with a truckload of money. NIL gives these kids an opportunity to make life changing money for their entire family. Highly doubt uga comes in with a big bump to what they already offered, unless they are told no by another olineman in the next 2 days.

Don’t believe that he wasn’t a take at uga when he commits to the Vols on Friday.

I wonder how many of those Fong went back and changed right before an announcement

A) yes. Proven over and over again with how often they’re wrong. Yes, some of that could be recency bias.

B) yes again. Why ask it twice but in 2 different ways?

C) ah, I suppose you’re looking for me to be literal. Literally do I have a big heart? No idea. But I appreciate your concern for my personal health. But I literally do not prefer for fellow Vol fans to get their hopes up on a recruit bc of “insiders” or “experts” to only to be let down. I feel for them. I sympathize. Hence the joking nature of the big heart comment. Hope that clears point C up for you.

D) see above - C. Still not sure why you ask the same question 2 different ways

E) I stay here bc I like to know as much as possible and watch highlights about the recruits who choose to be Vols. Do you need more information regarding this topic or will this answer suffice?

F) I’m no expert on human behavior. So I’ll have to take your word for it that this is such a strange phenomenon.

G) oh good, back to the large heart comment. Hope the point above (C for your reference) clears that up. I’ll certainly try to remember to not make comments that can’t be taken in a literal sense.

Whew. I’m a) starting to think you b) just like using c) a bunch of d) letters to e) make lists.

F) the above (a-e) are not to be taken in a literal sense. Actually none of this post should be taken that seriously. Just like “insiders” and “experts” shouldn’t be taken seriously.
