‘23 GA OT Shamurad Umarov (Tennessee commit)

Is Georgia still pushing to get him now?
last i heard, they wanted him to hold off. they aren't neccesarily pushing him to come to UGA, just don't want him to make any decision until they're board clears up some.

i.e.....you're a back up, and we need you to be available, just in case, k?

I believe within the last 24 hours they've told him he has a spot now. Too late though...

I think they changed a bit once one of their Oline decommited then committed to Bama but again idk.

RL work is killing me now.

You can't trust Rusty! Their interest is to mess our deal up, one way or the other. What you are suggesting amounts to him trying to diminish our commitment, should we get it. All the while still trying to get Sham. Horse feathers to Rusty. Just root for Sham pulling the trigger for the good guys!

I don't think he starts day 1. I think it'll be a similar situation to Trevor Lawrence. He's going to be the best QB on the roster, but will need to learn the offense and get some live game reps before he starts. I think he'll be starting by 2023 mid season. JMO.
Agreed. Maybe as much about getting some time under the diet and S&C program as about learning the offense, but agree regardless. TL is exactly who I thought of when I was reading these posts. Peyton too.
