Come on Butchna..... we both read the boards quite a bit. How many times, by how many people has he been named the “day 1 starter”? “Best on the roster upon arrival”? Can’t take every word a man writes literally. No one has ever called him a “savior” so I’ll retract the word but the comment still stands. You read these boards and MOST think he’s a high level player. “Savior” crap is your own interpretation. We’re a more realistic, wait and see fanbase than you’re giving us credit for. We can handle disappointment with the best of them...experience thing.

And you’re throwing “most” out there based on how many times you counted? Sounds practically scientific. There are as many posters to downplay him as to crown him...and then there’s the happy medium, who wait and see. Trust or don’t...I know better.Come on Butchna..... we both read the boards quite a bit. How many times, by how many people has he been named the “day 1 starter”? “Best on the roster upon arrival”? I’ve watched him but I keep criticisms to a minimum 1 because our fan base has embraced him. And 2 he’s a Vol. I live just outside of Atlanta so Merietta isn’t a long drive if you like HS football. The kid is good so relax Bailey fans. Although my opinion is I think the fan base is setting themselves up for disappointment with their own expectations of him. If you read these boards you’d think most believe he’s UTs savior. I’m more than willing to give an opinion on his game but don’t look forward to the backlash. For now let’s just say I understand the drop for many reasons and some beyond his control.
This is more than just “somebody” and we all know it. It’s a majority of the fan base.
I’m not getting into details to debate you. you’re right about those things. And do we really have to criticize someone because of a misspelling? Come on manWell if there is any backlash it should be how you spell Marietta.
If you want the one knock on him it would be the injuries his Freshman and Sophomore year in high school.
I have watched him in person and watched other games on tv....the kid can make all of the throws.
Will he stand in the pocket and take a hit? Of course he will and he gets right back up and does not back down or show an ounce of fear the next snap or series. Watching 7a football the last 4 years in Gwinnett County, this kid was the best qb i saw on the field.
That is roughly 50 plus games counting all of the playoff games.
I don't know about y'all, but I think Harrison Bailey is the savior of the program. He's a day one starter here. I mean heck, if there wasn't a rule against it, guy could just go straight to the NFL. Can't wait till he gets here and takes us 12-0 as a true freshman next year! Lets ride!
Not at all and I agree. Although I said the majority of the fan base I’m sure it has to be clear I’m referring to VNs posters. The majority of the fan base has no clue who Harrison Bailey is. While many on VN do, the majority of VN readers don't actually post. So you are down to a pretty small percentage of a pretty small percentage.
As for whether some like to talk about the possibilities, sure, why not. There's nothing wrong with being hopeful.
