'19 GA S Jaylen McCollough (Tennessee signee)

Callahan followed that first quote up with another one, saying that he wouldn’t be surprised at all if we take him.

If what Simmons said was true about Pruitt being in contact with McCollough multiple times a week, I’d imagine he’s a take IMO.

Speed is probably the main concern. He's a good player, though, and with Aaron Beasley being big enough that he's likely more of a linebacker/running back, Tennessee obviously is open to adding another safety to go along with Anthony Harris. And McCollough is a bigger, different type of player compared to Harris, which is a plus.
Like I said, Tennessee ideally might have liked to see McCollough in camp last month to get an even better feel for him. But the Vols have liked him for a while, and I won't be surprised at all if they decide to take him. -Callahan

Hard to say. Timing could be a factor, along with what happens with some other guys, and I think Tennessee ideally would have liked to see him in camp last month. I think there’s still maybe a scenario in which he could be a take for the Vols - that’s always fluid - but I don’t get the sense he’s the top target some people assumed he was for a while. If I had to guess right now, he might be more likely to end up at South Carolina.-247Callahan

If he picks SC, bunch of programs passed, some already have and his ranking has continued to go down. I don’t get it, his film is fine, his body is fine, looks like a safety to me as he can hit and hit hard, will play over 200 lbs in college. He looks the part of a 4 star. His speed is a little suspect to me but track speed vs football speed are different, he looks like he has enough, Ive heard no off field problems, no grade problems.

Oh well, I’d take him in a heartbeat, I think if UT passes, they will regret it, jmho...
What am I missing?

I think it was said schools are passing on him because of his speed. Doesnt really look slow to me. I know plenty of players that run a slower in a 40 than they do in game.

Agree hopefully we take him. Mansell said whoever gets him is getting a heck of a player and a big leader in the locker room

Would you like this kid to be committed to Georgia?

Me personally I’d take him any day of the week. He just looks like a football player, sometimes guys don’t have the greatest measurables but they show up and show out on the football field. If I’m picking sides on a neighborhood football game, absolutely give me this kid.

Volboro we're concerned. We here multiple people talking but you're the only one in the room. Please seek help.

Love TKJr. but if he's fast enough to play safety for us then I know this kid is. He has good tape and many considered him the best S in GA. We should take if he wants to come.
