I wonder if he's just building up suspense and commits soon? Didn't someone say he was set to commit over the weekend but his family wanted it to be a surprise?
I don't know if Tank wants to it to be a surprise as much as he wants his moment in the sun. Since UT had so many commits this weekend, Tank would have shared the spotlight with several other commits including multiple DBs. Now waiting a week or 2, he doesn't have to share the spotlight with anyone. At least, that's what I hope is going on. I really what to see Tank, Beasley and Fields terrorizing WRs and RBs in a couple of years.I was thinking this. I think he’s already a commit and just waiting on his announcement. And yeah, the whole “was gonna commit this weekend but wanted it to be a surprise” drives this my thinking a lot.
I said one of the three... Bush, Hill, and McCollough was going to commit this weekend... then marker confirmed that it was McCollough that was going to then backed out wanting to wait... I believe because he said, his family said they wanted it to be a “surprise”.I think that was Caleb who said that
You, sir, are on THIN ICE as an insider! HOW DARE YOU LET THOSE 18-YEAR-OLDS CHANGE THIER MINDS!I said one of the three... Bush, Hill, and McCollough was going to commit this weekend... then marker confirmed that it was McCollough that was going to then backed out wanting to wait... I believe because he said, his family said they wanted it to be a “surprise”.
Gotcha! I couldn't remember exactly what you said, but I remembered your name being in his thread a lot. I think you bring good info on here, Caleb. No gripes from me.I said one of the three... Bush, Hill, and McCollough was going to commit this weekend... then marker confirmed that it was McCollough that was going to then backed out wanting to wait... you misunderstand. i'm talking about the ultra concerted efforts to coordinate the commitments with an event like that. i think everyone does that to a certain degree, but usually if you're asking a kid to hold off it should be because you have several irons in the fire (and so should the kid) not because you want to "look good" or have some good PR.....which our last staff was all about.so we didn't plan the BBQ event and there wasn't a goal to have a bunch of players commit?
I think it's very likely we drop some commits too before said and done. I'd say 4-5 committed won't be a part of this class. Hopefully we close stronggg.
Blueshirting is impossible with the 25 signings per academic year limit, effective for the 2018 recruiting cycle. Grayshirting can still be done.Absolutely! Plus the VQ Mods and Coach Mathews said Pruitt plans to sign 25. Which would mean using a few Blueshirt's. Would be nice to not have to borrow ahead so we have a full 25 in '20, but the numbers will work themselves out.
