'20 GA WDE BJ Ojulari (LSU commit)

I just don't understand how this happens so routinely. A kid will be dead set on going to a school and then at the last minute receives one more phone call and changes his mind completely? It doesn't make sense.
We don't really know that is what happened. People are just saying that because everyone assumed he was picking LSU and now people are assuming he's not so they think something changed. I still think he was planning on waiting to see how we do this year but last week decided he didn't need to wait anymore and once he announced he was committing he knew it was to Tennessee. So IMO nothing has changed since he announced he would commit this week other than other peoples predictions.

True. And frankly, we don't even know what these "recruiting analysts" even do to get their hunches. Like who are these "sources" they're talking to. Unless it's the kid or his parents, I don't think it's really safe to assume they have a freaking clue what's going on until the last minute when the kid lets out where he's going. I hate the artificial drama they always try to spark up, and frankly, I don't know why half of these kids screw around so long when they know where they're going anyway. It doesn't make a darn bit of difference how much they were talked about as a recruit the moment they step foot on campus...but the sooner they actually do commit and mean it, the sooner they can help get others into the fold who will help their future team be better...

Maybe I'm just getting old and surly.

You're right it doesn't. You remember being 18 tho right? Or crap, 17 even, lol. I'm amazed any recruit stays commited to any program for longer than a month.

And I can't understand you're reasoning. No one owes you or me a darn thing but people pass along info as a favor. And instead of appreciating that, you gripe about how and get upset if they won't dox themselves.

Seriously, you're a good poster on a lot of subjects and how you don't see your somewhat entitled take on this, confuses the ish out of me.
Perhaps I am entitled. I'm just saying didn't OLB admit he was trolling us at one point? I could have sworn I remember reading that a while back.

he did, more or less...i remember it too.

i think though there were some posters giving him a hard time about what exactl his relationship was to HB...and he waffled back and forth, and *posters* would not stand for it, and it degraded from there.

i never got the whole point, either way, really.

he has some connection to Marietta HS, or one or some of it's players.

he thinks he has relevant info to post, and he posted it.

how it got to this point is because of "other" stuff brought in to the equation.

if we land BJ tomorrow....i would imagine there should be some "sorry dude" posts floating around lol.

"If you step outside, there is a big bag full of money, a new Charger, and several beautiful ladies. Take your pick..... I'm just kiddin.

You can have all three!"

- Nieds on a recruiting visit (probably)

He admitted to trolling us about the kid that committed to Kentucky. Not sure whether he's a complete troll or not, and don't really care. I only gave him ish because he was being a real dickhead to a good poster one day for no reason. So I pointed out that he admitted to trolling us before. I stated my opinion that BJ was picking the Vols before he rolled in and riled everyone up with optimism so it didn't change anything for me. He could be real or a troll. He could be a nice guy normally. But sometimes he goes a little overboard like what's his name that used to work at Auburn and then for the football training company in Tennessee. Vol Plains or something. Which is fine. I get that he cares about these kids if he does actually know them. But you get what you put out there sometimes.

I think whether we land him or not, it’s pretty obvious that he was right on the information here. Obviously several sources at Marietta have changed their tune with all these analysts changing their picks. Idk whether BJ picks us or not but it’s pretty obvious this guy heard something positive before several others did.
