'19 GA WR Jadon Haselwood (Oklahoma commit)

4 of the 5 QBs drafted in the 1st round this year had a year of eligibility left. 3 of those 4 are the current starting QB for their team, with Lamar Jackson being the exception, and probably the most raw.
I’m sorry but Fromm would be stupid to go pro early, he’s not Baker or Sam. I’m not saying you’re wrong but I would be pretty surprised if he did. He is very similar to Aaron Murray in my opinion. I don’t think Fromm has proved he can win games on his own yet. Just flashes. IMO

Would he be stupid if he’s given an early 1st round grade? I don’t think so. I’m not saying he is this transcendent, generational talent who is a slam dunk future HOFer. He has put together a good collegiate record, good numbers, and has a nice blend of physical tools and accuracy. Those kind of guys don’t grow on trees and the NFL covets them, especially coming from pro-style offenses playing too-notch competition.

At the end of the day, one NFL team has to fall in love with him. I don’t think it’s unreasonabke to believe that will happen. And again, look at where he is projected in mock drafts. Supply and demand is king.

Yeah, that’s what I said. Verbatim, actually. 🙄

You literally said.... I’m just pointing out that as recently as this year, 80% of the QBs drafted in the 1st round don’t fit within that opinion. It’s not like I picked out the one exception to poke a hole in your theory.

Well hide my lunch and call me hungry!

Not a Siam dunk but he definitely has the mix of mentally and physically being able to do it

Ahhh...the old Siam Dunk.

I don’t pay attention to mock drafts that are still over a year away. It’s pure speculation and he could continue to get better or plateau. It’s hard not to look good when defense has to try stopping the backfield he’s had for two years. I could see him going but he has a lot of developing to do is all I’m saying.

And I don’t disagree one bit with that. I’ve tried to be clear that he is not a slam dunk to leave early or have great success.

Jadon Haselwood is one of the most talked about recruits in the country. He decommitted from Georgia last month, and even before then, while committed to the Bulldogs, he was taking visits and remained a hot topic. Since opening up, Miami has emerged as the school most link Haselwood to. Georgia is working hard to get him back and he will be in Athens for an official visit later this month. Auburn and Oklahoma have already had him in for official visits. Tennessee has quietly snuck into this race and is a team to watch. The Vols have made a big push and he is likely to visit Knoxville at least once between now and the Early Signing Period. This is one that could still go a number of different ways. Miami and Tennessee are the most talked about schools around Haselwood at this time with Georgia still hanging around.

well if you're a studd WR, you have to like what you've seen as far as big play capability, and potential, of this offense. and you're likely gonna get to play with an experienced QB who's got a shot at being here for two more years.

i mean other than OU who's lighting it up offfensively, but may be on a coaching search, i don't know that i'd be all that enamoured with UGA's or Miami's offenses right now, as it pertains to WR's.........sure they're going to be good, so don't get me wrong. but i think we've arleady showcased what we want to do with big time WR's.

and we're going to have personnel that can actually do it.

I doubt Fields would transfer unless he disliked the coaches and system. Transferring would sit out a yr when he could just stay and wait out fromm 1 more yr. fromm will go pro after next season in all likelihood.

It didnt stop Eason. If you are playing on playing NFL football, you need to get on the field. Eason realized that and transferred. He's got 2 more years to get ready. No big rush when youre talking about the rest of your life.

So Haselwood is supposedly coming for the game this weekend; so is Nolan Smith. Nolan is solid UGA. We don't refuse high ranked recruits, but that's not my concern. They are good friends. How do we feel about this?

It probably means Haselwood will be there for Smith when the rain starts to pour, like he’s been there before. I bet Smith has been there for Haselwood too.

Has it been officially said he is coming in?
It's a possibility, as we reported a couple days ago, but haven't heard any confirmation of that yet. We'll find out more over the next 24 to 48 hours. Regardless of whether he visits this weekend, though, he's expected to make the trip to Tennessee at least one more time in the coming weeks.
