'19 GA WR Jadon Haselwood (Oklahoma commit)

Miami - Terrible team with an anemic offense
Oklahoma - Already bringing in a couple of 5 star WRs; distance a factor; HC will be in the NFL next year
Georgia - Very close with Justin Fields, so his decommitment from UGA is telling; he doesn't like their offense.
Tennessee - Trending up; vertical passing game that Haselwood wants; Coach Pruitt; great opportunity at early playing time; opportunity to play with friends (OP, Wanya, etc.)

No brainer IMO

ETA: BB98 beat me to it... Great minds though...

I must have missed it. Where are you guys seeing that Justin Fields is transferring?
It's an assumption on my part. Fields will not sit behind Fromm for the next two years. Fields/Haselwood are close friends and were looking forward to playing together, so his decommitment from UGA doesn't make sense... unless Fields is leaving.

Well, Fromm probably will only be there one more year, but to your point, I doubt Fields risks sitting even one more season.

Fromm isn't talented enough to go pro after next season, but he is good enough to be a 4 year starter at UGA. Just my opinion, as time will tell.
His individual talent level is perhaps irrelevant with regards to his position, and depth of that position. It’s probably debatable as to whether Josh Allen was talented enough to go pro after his rJR year, but positional scarcity made him the #7 pick. Fromm doesn’t have the elite physical tools of Allen, but is far more accurate and better groomed for the NFL with his collegiate offensive system.

And I’m not saying with certainty that he’ll go pro early, just that I won’t be surprised. He is currently the #2 overall pick in some mock drafts I’ve seen, behind Tua. A lot can change though in a year or two.

Why are people just assuming that Fromm will beat Fields out for the starting job next year? It was reported that Fields pushed Fromm hard for the starting job this year. Fields could be the starter next year.

In the games I’ve seen I don’t see it. Fields has played cause Smart wants to keep him involved. I doubt he plays much in SECCG.

If they were smart they’d play Fields a ton. Mobile qb’s have always faired best at beating Bama. Manziel, Marshall, Watson. Only Ole Miss beat them without and they ran up tempo spread.

It is not an assumption. Dawgnation hasn't seen the growth out of Fields like they'd hoped. Fromm is the solid starter and will remain. The "reports" weren't legit because Fromm has never wavered. I get this from dawgnation. Hard forum to read at times, beware!

If we was to land Pappoe and Watson ll to go along with Morris then I believe Haselwood will a Vol. No inside info just a gut feeling.

I doubt Fields would transfer unless he disliked the coaches and system. Transferring would sit out a yr when he could just stay and wait out fromm 1 more yr. fromm will go pro after next season in all likelihood.

QBs need all of the college coaching and pt they can get, if they want to play in the league. Some positions can go early, but I just don't think QB is one of them.

4 of the 5 QBs drafted in the 1st round this year had a year of eligibility left. 3 of those 4 are the current starting QB for their team, with Lamar Jackson being the exception, and probably the most raw.

So there is a chance my post is not 100% accurate for every QB all of the time? Dog. I was afraid of that.

Yeah, that’s what I said. Verbatim, actually. 🙄

You literally said...

. I’m just pointing out that as recently as this year, 80% of the QBs drafted in the 1st round don’t fit within that opinion. It’s not like I picked out the one exception to poke a hole in your theory.

It's dependent on how long they have been starter, current draft classes and the next. Striking while iron is hot etc. These days so many are starting from freshman yr on that are in that draft conversation so 3 yrs is typically enough
