You missed the point. They think Matthews is a lock to them. They want Ronan and Satterwhite. Many of their fans are mad that Staley isn’t a take right now. They’re hoping it doesn’t become another “Hyatt situation”.

Imo, they are starting to realize they aren't a lock. Their 247 mod called Mathews committing to them a Bold Take yesterday. Pretty sure if he's a lock that wouldn't be a bold take. Their confidence has come from the family likes the culture at Clemson and we've seen that win out a ton in the past. I'm thinking it's not in this case and their mods are starting to see that too.

I read AP's response as his mom wasn't only in love with Clemson as in she likes all his schools and doesn't favor 1 specific one. Hence, another reason I think these Clemson mods have started back peddling. They thought that was their Ace in the hole and it isn't. I'm sure there is someone close to him that is in love with Clemson, but I don't think it's a decision maker or influencer.

Have liked where they are with Matthews for a while. Haven’t heard anything yet to change that. We will see when he enters final decision mode. He is taking summer classes right now so he can graduate early.
