'24 GA WR Mike Matthews (Tennessee)

seems like good football by the number 1 offense in the nation would generate more than 1 first down on more than 40% of their drives. when we were moving we were impossible to stop, but it was difficult for us to get moving at times.
Who the crap needs multiple first downs when you're scoring in 1, 2, 3, or 4 plays?

Do you get extra points for multiple 1st downs?

Give me the maximum points per possession. The rest is fluff.

This isn't the 1960s trying to pump out 3 yard runs and drudge our way down the field with 42 first downs per game.

Anybody else wondering where Nico is in recruiting players? I’ve just noticed I’m not seeing him mentioned by any outlets or recruits. Maybe it’s low key or I’m missing it. Maybe they want to keep the spotlight on Milton? Just a little weird to me.

It was said that Matthews spent a lot of time with Nico during his OV. Besides, Nico is a true freshman that's still trying to get acclimated and ready to potentially have to play this season. I think it's preferred that he's grinding and keeping a low profile.

We’d all love to score 80% of the time but that’s just not football. It comes with ups and downs and you just go to the next play. Hype was pretty good at keeping them motivated and focused last season. I don’t expect it change this season.

A few of the offensive players mentioned him in their post visit interviews.

It’s tough to get a true read on Lilburn (Ga.) Parkview receiver Mike Matthews, the nation’s No. 22 prospect overall. He was at Tennessee this past weekend and he’s been to Knoxville as much as any program on his list that also includes Clemson, Georgia and USC. Each program got a June official and now the Matthews camp will analyze all the schools while Mike finishes up summer classes and try and make a decision.

Exactly, the SEC top defenses aren’t going to roll over. And that includes our own! GBO!!!!
