December is a long way off. If UF struggles this season like it looks like they have a good chance to do. They will lose some of their higher rated guys and fill them with lesser rated recruits. Couple that with them being where they’re at because they have 20 recruits they won’t finish at 3. They’ll be lucky to stay top 5 once the rest of the classes are filled out.Florida has been trash for like 3 years straight and they're about to land a top 5 class...
We're not doing bad, but we absolutely have to recruit better. Facts.
It's the same argument year after year, and we seem to always make excuses, and forget the previous year
True but what other team in Florida has been good in that span? Recruiting to Florida is an easier job purely based on location. It warm almost all year. It's an hour drive to the gulf and and hour and a half to the Atlantic. Plus Florida as a state has much more to offer than most states.Florida has been trash for like 3 years straight and they're about to land a top 5 class...

The football stadium is riverfront, downtown Knoxville has been completely renovated into a great place to eat or spend a weekend, you are minutes from the most visited national park in the country with breathtaking hikes and views, and the weather is quite seasonable. The people here are super welcoming, and living expenses are lower than most metropolitan areas. It's an easy 6-8 hour drive to the beach in several directions, and you can ski in 4-7 hours. The geographical argument is silly. It's not like we're on the dark side of the moon from the recruiting hotspots. Knoxville is a day-drive to over 50% of the country. Distance isn't that big a deal to kids and families who have to fly to a campus anyway, because the flight difference from any other SEC school would only be a couple hours, max.
Tennessee is about to start rolling big-time and these excuses for why we weren't good for years are going to be exposed for what they are - excuses, not real, truthful reasons. When we're good, the best athletes come from all over to play here. . . everything points to us having a solid run to the top and it's being built to last a long time.
Me too. Always thought that was a nonsense reason why a player may not come here. Knoxville/Smoky Mtns is a paradise compared to most regions these schools are in. . . plus Tennessee girls aren't too bad.The football stadium is riverfront, downtown Knoxville has been completely renovated into a great place to eat or spend a weekend, you are minutes from the most visited national park in the country with breathtaking hikes and views, and the weather is quite seasonable. I'm calling BS on the location disadvantage
It’s called being an idiotI have a Clemson buddy that swears to me that Matthews is going to Clemson. I've told him that all the signs are literally pointing away from that and he keeps telling me he is a Clemson lock and that I'll be pissed on commitment day. I don't know if he is trolling or just wishful thinking but nothing I say or do convinces him otherwise

He’s just messing with you then. Every other person highly involved with Clemson athletics has basically said he’s not coming there. It’s a great way to get under someone’s skin though. Do it all the time with my ole miss and Kentucky buddiesIt's making me really mad, but he is highly involved with Clemson Athletics
Ask him if he's confident enough to bet a nut shot on it. If Tennessee gets him you get to punch him in the nutsI have a Clemson buddy that swears to me that Matthews is going to Clemson.
