'19 GA WR Ramel Keyton (Tennessee signee)

KN (Auburn 24/7 mod) has update on 4* WR Ramel Keyton today. Basically wanted to visit AU to make sure of his decision. Does not sound good for AU, probably all Vols

Someone asked if Vols were still in a good spot with Keyton and Hubbs said "nothing has changed" and Simonton replied with a smiling Top Gun Tom Cruise gif. Safe to say the story has already been written. Pruitt beats Auburn for the third straight commitment. Pretty damn impressive.

I thought Ramel would be 4.

I think Tennessee still is in good shape with Ramel Keyton. After landing Brown on Friday night, the Vols might not have to wait long for their next commitment. Keyton, a four-star wide receiver from Marietta (Ga.) High School, is set to announce his decision Wednesday afternoon, and he plans to choose between Tennessee and Auburn.

All signs still point to the Vols being the team to beat. He has visited them six times since September 2016, including two trips to Knoxville this year. he most recently visited Tennessee on April 21 for its spring-ending Orange and White Game.

Auburn hosted him on his most recent visit on May 5, taking one final look at the Tigers leading up to his announcement. By all indications, though, the Vols have weathered the storm to this point and still appear to be the favorites to land him going into Wednesday’s announcement.

The 6-foot-3, 186-pound Keyton would add another four-star prospect to Tennessee’s class and give the Vols their first wide receiver in the 2019 class. He also would be their fourth commitment from the state of Georgia. Tennessee didn’t win enough big-time recruiting battles in the Peach State in former coach Butch Jones’ final couple of years in Knoxville, and Pruitt’s staff already has started to change that.

THE VERDICT

“I’ll go with Tennessee here as he has established a great rapport with the coaching staff. The Vols have sold him well on immediate playing time and contribution and he seems to have been leaning that way for a while.” – Mike Farrell, Rivals.com National Director of Recruiting
