Federal sentencing allows for a downward departure that could get him under that 12 year minimum depending on how helpful he is. So, essentially the plea deal is unfinished and what was announced isn’t really relevant.

Bigger issue is that dude has already fabricated evidence of somebody else having sex with an underage girl. Everything he says will need to be corroborated to be worth anything in a trial and as dumb as Gaetz is, I’m skeptical that that will happen to the extent needed to prosecute a sitting congressman.

What an absolute chode this guy is. He knows his audience though, bizarrely pivot to the 2nd Amendment and fist pump after crying about some unrelated butt hurt and get the crowd to whoop it up.

This guy is a caricature of a POS politician.

You've got Ryan bemoaning the direction of things. Then McConnell saying in January it was all Trumps fault and now saying it wasn't. What a mess
