Galaxy S5

Note 4 will be the first phone to support the Samsung operating system instead of android/google. The Note 3 is probably the most sophisticated phone out now so I can't wait to see what the 4 offers.

I'm was unaware. I'm not fond of the idea of a Samsung operating system. That could be a deal breaker for me.

Its used now on their smart watch. They've worked with it for a while, and from what i ve heard from our samsung reps is that it will still be powered by google.

I had a few android phones (htc one s, galaxy s2) and they were all very glitchy and lagged over time. Almost a year now with my iPhone 5c and it still works like it's brand new. I will NEVER switch back.

I had the exact opposite experience. I don't think I'll ever go back to iPhone. I love my Galaxy S5.

I seriously doubt the Note 4 will be running Tizen. I would bet against that one.

Samsung said they have a couple Tizen phones coming this year but I don't foresee either being the Note 4. Maybe a variant with the same specs as the 4? They did say the 4 will be different this year but I don't see the flagship model dropping Android yet.

Definitely. The Note has the most cache of any of their phones. No way they'll risk it by ditching Android.

They've been trying to break away with their own app store and ecosystem for a couple years now, and it just hasn't been catching on. The most I could see them doing is what you alluded to, Tizen versions of existing phones.

I have the Galaxy S4. Best smart phone I've ever owned. What is the big difference between it and the S5?

Every one is going to give you a bump in processing speed, screen quality, battery life, camera resolution, etc. Getting a phone that's older than a year generally isn't a good idea if you're planning on having it last two years. Unless you really want that waterproof, S4 is a solid phone.

You could be right, but from what I've been told by some higher ups in Samsung is that they really want the Note 4 to be the first to have it.

I'm behind the times and cheap so I still love my S4. However, I would like to upgrade to a higher sd card. I know it will support a 64 gb, but I've heard some people having difficulty with certain ones, especially with freezing issues. Anyone have any good suggestions for which card I should get? TIA

I took some photos at the RAW event on Monday.......I am disappoint Samsung!....I would zoom in and it would focus and I would take the picture....the preview was good but when I went back and checked the photos later most were blurry

The S5 Active is out now for what its worth to anyone. Big differences is that its military graded outer casing, actual buttons for the home, back, and active, and it comes in all red, cammo, and another color I believe. They did take away the finger print scanner though.

Dammit, a week too late.

I edited this wallpaper, it was black but now it's orange...

It's nothing spectacular, but i like it.

I'm about 75% sure I'm getting the S5 active this weekend

One thing I'll correct that I found out is that its not "military graded" on the outer casing. It has rubber edges to help absorb more shock but isn't full proof. Still has some solid upgrades from the original.

I'm not concerned about it's being dropped capabilities.
