Kentucky’s execution absolutely destroys what I’m seeing from our girls right now. They’re running clean plays and executing. We look listless.

Reminds me of those early 2000s matchups against UConn.

The loss UK had Sunday motivated them to win this game and play much better. This was a classic trap game for us and walked into a buzzsaw. Don't overreact or over-analyze it. We laid a stinker and UK playing lights out. Flush it and focus for Sunday. It really is that simple.

You would think that Caldwell would have adjusted what she was going to do against a team coached by the team that beat her by 40 last year. She's had a year to think about it...

It would be a mistake (as it has been all season) to presume that the players are doing what the coaches have told them. That's been a theme all season.

Maybe that's why we got who we got in the portal... maybe as good athletically as they are, they just aren't good at transferring instruction into action. Lots of players are "feel" players, and are just not comfortable listening to the other part of their brain. Some don't know how to play ball except by instinct and feel.

I dunno. But I don't think I've ever heard coaches say that about their team this late in a season.

Guess we're all looking for a logical explanation that gives us hope that tonight isn't this team's destiny.

After UCONN I never claimed that “we are back”, which would have been an extreme take. This is not a very talented roster. I don’t think that’s an extreme take. We all love Cooper and Whitehorn’s athletic ability because they stand out so much from the rest. Five years from now if they are the top 2 players in the KC era, we’re in big trouble.

There game plan for Spearman was not good. She needs to stay down low and hopefully rebound. Probably thought they could draw one of the bigs out and help with rebounding.

Damn, second straight year of Brooks making coach Caldwell's team look like frauds. First with Marshall, now with Tennessee. Damn it.

Our starters are exhausted, and the game is about out of reach... I'd like to see some minutes for the players outside the starting 10, tho I doubt we'll see it. We badly need some fresh feet on the court, though.

That is the big problem.

It's one game . The men lost to UF by 30 and are fine. We'll be fine. Get the first 2 rounds at home, win those 2, and then see what we got.
